I guess my favorite Nintendo game would be Super Mario Bros. 3 for the NES. I spent many countless hours playing that game, trying to perfect all the secrets. The fastest I've ever beaten it was 18 minutes or somewhere around that long. :heh:

Conkers Bad Fur Day!!!! Any, I always thought the zelda games too easy, bad camera, and 80% annoying. (But that is the same thing with Conkers Bad Fur day, only it isn't very easy, and the game is very funny, which makes up for the sucky camera :D)

This isn't bad spelling, this you not willing to make an effort to spell. Don't tell me some of the most basic english words like "your", "know", "are", and "you" are difficult to spell, because they are not. Native speakers of English (which you seem to be, though I am not sure) use them for years of their life, and have no excuse. If you are not a native speaker of English, these words are some of the first words you were taught, and thus you have used them the most. You know perfectly well how to spell them.

They are four letters long at maximum. There is no excuse that you couldn't spell them, because this is simply untrue. And when you say "no 1", that's even more obvious that you aren't making an effort to spell correctly, as you don't mispell a number; you clearly inserted the 1 to avoid having to spell it. I know it doesn't seem like such a big deal, but really, it is highly annoying. No one wants to have to read through all this slang and Internet shorthand, when you are perfectly capable of correcting, or at least spelling most of what you type correctly.

I won't be the only person to gripe about this either. You'll find plenty of other people on the Internet, including this forum, who have problems with it. I respect you by making an effort to have neat and clear posts. Why can't you respect me and the other members by doing the same? I'm not trying to come off harsh on you, but this just one of those things that really irritates me. No one's asking for perfection, just that you put up an effort. Using words like "u", "no 1", "ur", etc., that is not an effort.

Back on topic, my favorite Nintendo games would be starting with Super Mario 64, for the Nintendo 64. I felt that the graphics were amazing, and it was also so much fun to play. Banjo Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie were also games I enjoyed. The music was very uplifting, and the storyline got me hooked really fast. It also boasted beautiful graphics. Diddy Kong Racing and Super Mario Kart have always been a favorite racing game of mine.

Not too many people seem to have played it on the Nintendo 64, but the Castlevania games were kind of cool, though highly frustrating. Legacy of Darkness, the second game for the Nintendo 64, was almost a completely copy of the first game, having the same or similiar levels, with the same enemies. Even some of the same bosses. But the end and beggining were different, so...I played it anyways. And of course, how could I not mention Zelda.

Zelda was one of my favorite games on the Nintendo 64. I loved the freedom on that game. I mean, rather than being stuck to a specific path or whatever, you could actually break out and go on sidequests, or rome the land really far and wide. The graphics were once more superb, and the storyline very amusing. Both of them were good, though Majora's mask was a bit shorter. I really love the music from them.

On the Gamecube, I have to say Super Mario Sunshine was a terrific game. The graphics were good, the music was good, but it was also so...cheerfull. I mean, it was always fun, but I liked how it was just about always bright and sunny, the entire game. And the land was always beautiful. Wind Waker, for GameCube, was something I derived much enjoyment from as well. It gave me even more freedom than I had in the previous games, now enabling me to travel across the seas. Those are some of my favorites right there, but I am sure new favorites will arrive shortly. Until then, I'll be on the look out for Twilight Princess.

Eh? Oh yeah, my favorite Nintendo series would have to be... Zelda... No questions there..I mean,it has everything I could possibly want: great music, great gameplay, great story, Tingle (How'd that get in there? :heh: ) Anyway...What was I talking about?

Twilight Princess Update! Nintendo has decided to add more levels, more gameplay, and more detail, so it will miss the Winter '05 release date.
The new Release date is April '06.
BTW I like all Nintendo games, and Playstation wouldn't be around if it weren't for Nintendo's choice not to release the Nintendo CD back in the early 90's.

Asuka, you really think the Zelda games are too easy? Try beating A link to the Past, with just the level 1 Master Sword, Green armor and Small Shield.
and if you can beat the game like that then you are good.

Nintendo is amazing. My favorite games by them would have to be the Zelda franchise, the Metroid franchise, Super Mario World 2, SSBM, and Animal Crossing. But lately, it seems Nintendo hs lost all touch with reality. They just killed off any chance of the GCN prevailing this holiday season, and that whole "LOL teh Rev is a secret! =^ . ^=" thing will only attract rabid Ninty fanboys...That Revolution better be good.

Question: supposedly only Nintendo and its closest studios know what the revolution is all about, and, consequently, are actually developing something for it. But what about giants like Sega, SquareEnix, Konami, etc.? They're not developing anything, but is that because they don't know what the controller is all about, or because they dont want to, prefering to support ps3/xbox360?

Edit:http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=60627

I think there are two possible scenarios for the future:
1) Nintendo Revolution Controller turns out to be a boring and unexiting device, cleaverly PRed by Nintendo
2) Nintendo Revolution Controller turns out to be a success, and Nintendo adopts "Never Underestimate Nintendo" as company motto

Neko Koneko

Maybe the other companies will get devkits once the design for the Revolution is absolute.

Alone
August 23rd, 2005, 07:33 am
huh? but thats stupid - they dont need to know the design to start working! Just give them a list: Rev supports this this and this. We'll be hearing about the Revolution within 2 weeks (IGN), so that leaves Developers with 9 months to create a project for launch, which is impossible. So expect to see a launch with nintendo support only, and a year later good 3rd party games :(

Did you know Nintendo is trying to get a partner ship with the DivX people so they can mass produce movies for the DS? I was very happy when I herd that :P

Alone
August 25th, 2005, 06:46 pm
I find that hard to believe...

Nintendo's position has always been that the DS is a gamind device, not a multimedia center. And now they want DivX support? I only know that Sony is having hell of problem with downloading movies from the net to psp - most companies are afraid of piracy, and until Sony finds a good way to keeps psp downloadble movies secure they ain't game at all with the idea

RD

Well its like Nintendo wants it to be a game system, unlike the PSP. But if people want it, nintendo will give it like a good little company they are :P

Remember the GBA videos?

Yup. And I was surprised to see they had that Jimmy Nutron videos, because those are very elebrate 3d cartoon-ish cartoon, and I wouldnt think the GBA would be able to with stand about 4 minutes of it.

Just goes to show you, Never underestimate the power of the "N"!
Besides Nintendo's been around since the 1880's as a maker of Hanafuda Playing Cards.
Which you can still get from them, but they are expencive.

Hanafuda cards can be found at Japanese Import shops, but you can also special order them from impot shops.

Some say that Nintendo is failing. I got news for you.
Don't expect Nintendo to fall. You forget, they own the Seattle Mariners, and part of the company the does American Idol.
You can still get GBA Videos if you know where to look.
