I really like the song "Hanyou Inuyasha" from (you guessed it!) Inuyasha. It really makes me feel like going on an epic journey to rid the world of something...

i am in love with mozart's requiem. if i'm doing nothing else but listening to it, it gets me into a trance. sometimes, when i hum along, it makes me cry.

"Into the West" sung by Anne Lennox is haunting. I get all teary eyed whenever I hear it. Beethoven's Emperor Concerto (2nd movement) makes me feel a very strong sense of yearning for something or someone that I miss or lost.

The Mariner's Revenge Song- The Decemberists.

That song freaks me out. The lyrics are amazing, but very freaky, and when there is no singing there is haunting sailor music playing.

*loves "Into the West"* my friend got the soundtrack for me for Christmas before I'd even seen the movie (I'm a huge LOTR fan of the books... or was at that point, anyway). I was leaving for a while, and put on my headphones on the airplane, eventually falling asleep holding my mom's hand because she's afraid of flying. I woke up around midnight or later, I guess; all the lights were dimmed and everyone was asleep. And the song started as I looked out the window and saw all the towns and stuff going past, all lit up in the middle of the darkened desert.
*rambles* Ahem. Anyway, I like that song. And many others. Don't ask me to list them all... it would take too many pages.

Trois Gymnopedie, that song is emotional for me. Because the emotions that comes from the music depends on how I play it. Whenever I am in a melancholic daze, I would play it loudly and still it would sound great. And slowly, like in a trance. That piece is marvelously great.

Sounds like the perfect atmosphere for this song. That's so sweet of you to hold your mom's hand. By the way did you know that there was another piece originally intended to be the end song? "Into the West" was written later to replace the other song because it was inspired by a special someone.

there is some series of songs called American Journey or something, but it sounds like it comes from some really dramatic western movie that's really good sounding, even though its an easy piece..

It's written *edit* by Fran Walsh and sung by Annie Lennox. It's the end song in Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.

Hector Berlioz's Te Deum (especially the Tibi omnes movement) is a pretty stirring piece. I'm not at all religious, but I get a thrill when the choirs, brass and percussion do their stuff.

three songs bring great emotion to me. Tidus and Yuna's Theme, Aerith's Theme, and The 2nd movement of Beethoven's 7th symphony

Let Down by Radiohead as well.

Such a brilliant climax, and if you aren't in tears at the end of it then I feel for you.

That's Bach, I believe. It's really beautifully done in End of Evangelion, in a piano solo.

Second half of the first movement of Bruch's "Scottish Fantasy" is startling, to name one. Elgar's Cello Concerto's first movement, Rachmaninov's 2nd piano concerto's first movement, the Largo from Dvorak's "From the New World" symphony...
I'll stop there for now, though there are so many others..

Radical Dreamer..Its a duh.

Something weird happened when I was listening to it. I felt like listening to something all night, and I thought of Radical Dreamer. So I put it on repeat and went to sleep. When I woke up, the batteries were dead.

So when I go to listen to it agian the nezt day, it sounds compleatly diffrent! Its more crisp, I can hear more notes and even parts I never knew about, and the weird thing was it was a bit off pitch. But I actualy like it better off pitch then on ._.

I concur.

Classical music evokes an extremely deep emotional response in me the way that most contemporary music doesn't. Even the "soulless" Baroque is so full of passion when played correctly!
