I'm transcribing the piano part from Beethoven's Emperor Concerto (2nd movement) using Finale NotePad 2005a. For some reason I can't add grace notes or turns (it's the symbol that looks like a sideways "S"). If anyone knows exactly how to do it, please tell me!! I've read the Tutorial section over and over again and it's not helping. I've attached what I've transcribed so far in Finale. I would like to know how I can change the first notes in measures 1 and 3 (right hand) into grace notes. And I want to add a turn after the quarter note in measure 8.
Anyone who can help me, I thank you in advance for your time. :music:

:EDIT:
In the very last measure, I want to change the clefs from Bass to Treble. Is that possible, how do you do it?

If you're using Finale Notepad, your choices are limited in terms of writing music. If you want to do all that stuff, you're going to have to buy the full version. And it ain't cheap.

ah, I get why I can't add those. Strange, considering I can add trills, gliss marks, and other weird notations. I will add them in by hand then.

...I have another question about the notepad. I just downloaded it last night, and I can't hear it when I try to play back what I've written. I have the same problem with others' MIDIS from Finale programs, like the one in the Ichigo's Band thread. I can't hear anything but a little bit of static. Is there a reason for this, like I just don't have the right software?

Sounds like it might be a soundcard playback issue. You might want to consult the official Finale Forums (http://forum.makemusic.com/).

Cool, thanks! You're right; I don't have the right soundcard, and I'm not going to go buy one. Oh well.
