Hello, here I'd like to display some of my works, some of which were Posted in Melee54's My art, by request.

Also I'd like to see any of your art posted here as well.

First up. is my drawing of Young Belldandy,http://img400.imageshack.us/img400/9163/youngbelldandy5eg.th.jpg (http://img400.imageshack.us/my.php?image=youngbelldandy5eg.jpg) from Oh My Goddess!

Next up Nagisa Kano,http://img400.imageshack.us/img400/4616/nagisakano1th.th.jpg (http://img400.imageshack.us/my.php?image=nagisakano1th.jpg) from Fight! Iczer One,
and Nagisa Kai,http://img400.imageshack.us/img400/8933/nagisakai8mi.th.jpg (http://img400.imageshack.us/my.php?image=nagisakai8mi.jpg) from Iczelion.

Ukkyo Kuonji, http://img400.imageshack.us/img400/8202/ukkyo8fo.th.jpg (http://img400.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ukkyo8fo.jpg)from Ranma 1/2

A simple face sketch known only as Kawaii Shoujo,http://img400.imageshack.us/img400/7721/kawaiishoujooriginal9qy.th.jpg (http://img400.imageshack.us/my.php?image=kawaiishoujooriginal9qy.jpg)

Kawaii Shoujo in Color! http://img400.imageshack.us/img400/4669/kawaiishoujoincolor6lg.th.jpg (http://img400.imageshack.us/my.php?image=kawaiishoujoincolor6lg.jpg)

These were all drawn free hand, whith no tracing, and usually the model images were 1/10th-1/15th the size. Also as you can tell there are Imperfections due to folds and creases in the paper.
Tell me what you think! More to come soon!

Very nice drawings. Are you considering adding colour to the black and white ones soon? I think it would add more life. Anyway, keep up the good work! :)

Actually they are black and white so they have a traditional manga look, but I do have some in color I will put up soon.

Thx for the comments Bluegoo!
Arigatou!

And who says Light Sabers are just in the movies. Take a gander at this functional saber I put together. (yes it can cut an arm off)

It's a photo trick. First I took 2 pics, one of an ignited Force F/X DV saber, and one of the handle which is a standard Heiland Flash(Altered) with a Syncronar bottom
I cut out the Vader body, and carefully replaced it with the Saber body you see.

Sadly there are no real light sabers.

Hey..I'm not trying to be mean but, the way you talked about your art made it seem like they were REALLY SUPER good.. Like, better than anyone else could do . But they're still good, and they look close to how they're supposed to look. I'm not a big fan of anime from the early 90s and stuff, so maybe that's why... I hope I'm not getting you mad, i really am not trying to be mean...

lol at your lightsaber thing. Did you do that in photoshop?

I did this a while back lol

Actually I did it with a scanner progam called Paper Port, I could have made it better if I took more time on it. it only took me a few min to do.
The Heiland, and Heiland Synchronar are the closest things to an MPP Microflash(DV Saber) you can get. A Real MPP costs about $600, or better. and I do have an original 1947 Graflex with box

and some of that art is dead on to the original characters they're based on, but again I grew up with stuff from the 80's and 90's

Your saber pic isn't bad, but I can see the gap between the blade and the hilt.

Haha yeah, I didn't really take time to even get the blade part straight either.

I think you have a good eye for landscapes - Number 4 in particular has an air of desolation. Keep practising - you do have a tendency to shrink your faces a bit so they get lost under the hair, a bit more exaggerated than animes usually do, but the more you draw the better you'll get at proportion :)

I agree with Mazda.. But drawing 6 and the last one are awsome, I like those a lot.

Oi, oi! I luff alot of your drawnings, but you need work on the faces. I don't know, but the eyes are a little...not-right, to say the least. ^^; Work on 'em a little! <3 Besides for that...my mind kinda died. D: BUT OH! <3 I luff your landscapes. They're very pretty--the compositions, the simplicity yet their beauty...Oui! Fantastico!

Thanks for your suggestion, some of those are near exact copies of the original work, though they're not perfect, I try not to make them too exact.
Kawaii Kawaii is based off an image that was at most 2" so of-course there's a lack of detail. (look Below the first post to see the actual VHS cover)

Sorry for the double post but if I had changed the last one no one would see it.

Anyway here is a new sketch I did today based on a picture of a friend of mine.

Hope you like it.

I saw the original photo and it's so close to being exact. I love it! Love the shading, the details, the angle you chose....awesome. Maybe if the coke can was coloured it would be eye popping~!! :w00t:

And here is a Sword Hilt design for a prop Replica Project I am working on.
http://img378.imageshack.us/img378/2255/swordhilt2xa.th.jpg (http://img378.imageshack.us/my.php?image=swordhilt2xa.jpg)

And here is a pic of the original Prop Hilt.
http://img378.imageshack.us/img378/4889/originalhilt9tc.th.jpg (http://img378.imageshack.us/my.php?image=originalhilt9tc.jpg)

No prop replicas for this sword exhist. Only two film props were build, one Steel "Hero" Sword, and one Rubber "Stunt" Sword, which was sold a few years ago for $10,000.
The exact whereabouts of the Hero Blade are unknown. I beleive Gary Goddard, the director of the movie the sword appeared in, has the "Hero" prop.

Last but not least is the Picture that I based the previous drawing on. As you can see there are differences so it is not an exact copy.

Love the hilt design. It's really original looking compared to the usual sword hilts I see in shops. Good luck with it. Hope you will post the finished product for us to see. :)

Don't worry about it, you have to know the older stuff from the early 90's to know half those drawings.

Love the landscape very well done, wish that I could draw landscapes like that. Keep working on your Charaters, they only get better with time.
