thats probably because its shot in Taiwan or something and the fact that its Chinese~

The cars are cool, the story is weird, the characters don't even reasemble their anime counterparts and Chinese people can't act.

either way I thought the movie was pretty good~

just because English is not their first language doesn't mean that they can't act ^_^

I know that, but they just can't act regardless of their language. Their acting is just bad. And it's probably this film and not all Chinese actors but this is the only Chinese film I've ever seen and it sucks, so yeah =P

trust me any movie with Jay Chow in it suks. Ah i watched that movie a couple days ago. I think it's okay...not that bad. Though it's kinda bullshitting if you ask me to turn that freaking sharp with an AE86.

I haven't seen the actual anime yet~ Its just that my friend burn it and send to me and told me to see it so.. but there was a huge gap between the actual anime and the movie.

That's the whole idea behind Initial D, Takumi (can't be bothered with his chinese name) controls the 86 that well he can beat anything ~

What I think is naff is the gutter turning in the LA film. In the anime it's a deep gutter with a sharp edge that could actually grab a tyre, but in the film the gutter is so shallow it wouldn't make a difference at all in turning.

haha i liked it..it was pretty good until the ending..it kinda sucked..

meh...really no comment... all the races were computerized so...
but it was kinda funny. with the puking part. but that grl was lyk.. ugh. and jay chou was ugly

Live Action.. eh.. its based on the orginal anime except the characters are real and so is everything else.

hmm haven't seen Initial D live action, but i have seen GTO live action and it was ok, not as good as the anime, but not too shabby, kinda funny to watch real people act out the people, maybe i'll go check this out

I heard that they are going to make a Prince of Tennis Live Action
