I just picked up this game a few days ago and have been playing it with three of my friends and I have to say that it is awesome. I don't know how well it works with less players but with four it is pure chaos.
Going into it I expected that my friends and I would cooperate and probably wouldn't get much out of the competetive elements of the game. I was wrong. Whatever Nintendo did with the design of this game, it is impossible to avoid picking up your friend and throwing them into a pit after they made a stupid mistake or shooting a massive fireball at the moron who slowed you down earlier and stole your boomerang.
The competetive elements aside, all of the puzzles I've come up against so far have been intelligently designed and the levels were put together perfectly. They all switch to the Gameboy screen in exactly the right spots.
To top off the whole package, there is a battle mode included that with a few more options and customizability would rival smash bros. in pure fun value.
If anyone else has played the game in single player or multiplayer modes I would like to know your thoughts on the game. Also, if there is anything you would like to know, I'll try to answer any questions.
