its getting pretty close to where the manga is n it looks to me like they're spreading out episodes n just trying to delay the story from going on....

well, i watched the first 31 episodes. It was good at first, but once they got to the exam of the becoming a umm.. i forgot.. chuunin i think.. it got boring because there were just too many new characters that appeared in a short amount of time. too many to remember&#33;&#33;&#33;

i&#39;ve watched up to 73...it&#39;s pretty good, but so many characters appearing...@.@...i love the first part of the chuunin exam tho...ehehe~

naruto is one of my favourite animes (like inuyasha) i have seen up to episode 64, i know it is more than 10 episodes but I wonder how many it is???

I saw about 3 or 4 episodes of the anime, and I never got around to watching more. I&#39;m reading the manga along with Shonen Jump lol

hmm...i haven&#39;t watched the anime but only because i&#39;m still following the Manga (which is on chapter 213 right now). IT"S SUCH A GOOD MANGA&#33; I really should watch the anime since the manga is so amazing but i kinda don&#39;t want to go so far back since the anime storyline is maybe only about half way thru the manga storyline.

Kakashi IS cool. I can&#39;t stand Sasuke tho. I&#39;m glad Naruto pretty much kicks his ass in their rasengan chidori dual. I was celebrating when that happened.

Naruto is heavily overrated. I saw some and it was poo compared to any other anime I saw. Well, minus DBZ.

as purely action animes go... i think it is quite good......

n there&#39;s lots of action fans in this world....

thats why they are the ones that get so popular i guess....

the anime started going down hill after about episode 30....... (ei. lacking intuitive battles, poor animation, poor pacing)

about 4-17 were extremely good episodes....

Naruto is great...i think its cuz guys like action.....not that i&#39;m saying that girls are into romance....but its mainly guys who like adventure....

I don&#39;t like anime with a lousy storyline that&#39;s being dragged for over 200 eps (Naruto will most likely have that, just like DBZ). Besides, most characters in Naruto just annoy the hell out of me, their voices are often annoying to listen to, and when they&#39;re not, they often don&#39;t fit the character. The characters are also annoying, and they all seem to have lousy character designs. Well, in my opinion anyway. I think DBZ had cooler characters than Naruto. And that says a lot.

Last Naruto ep I watched, the Hokage was still trying to pull out Orochimaru&#39;s soul. The I just shifted full time to the manga. It&#39;s alot better anyways. :shifty:

It bothers me when they drag out the anime. When they try to make every chapter of the manga last a whole episode. That can mean taking a whole minute on every page or two, and I know it takes less than a minute to read 2 pages of manga.

I like the manga (I read along with Shonen Jump) but I just can&#39;t find time to watch a 100+ episode anime (It just doesn&#39;t hold my interest) Not to mention that I don&#39;t really enjoy action anime in the first place.

Naruto is fun. Kakashi is cool. Shikamaru is sooo lazy. For all other characters .. Either you love &#39;em or hate &#39;em (I hate almost all the female character on this anime though. Too mean ... too shy ... too annoying ... too childish but hey they are children). Music are great (Love that background during the funeral&#33;&#33;&#33; Make me feel sooo sad.).

But once you caught up with the download, then you&#39;ll have to wait for a week before you get to the next eps. So I think that&#39;s what bother most of the people. Cause it&#39;s really feel like it&#39;s drag and drag and drag ... .

But if you wait until there&#39;s about 26 or 50 to download and watch it in marathon style ... it will be another story. ^_^

I like the way they draw most of the fighting scenes ... they really draw alot of the movement, not just repitions and a lot of the shoot angle are not standard angle. Just to let you know ... I&#39;m very very very very very picky about fighting/action scene and overall of drawing quality if I watch anime.

So far I only can say Naruto, Jubei-chan2 (even if it&#39;s sooo corny as it can be at times) and 2004 remake of Area 88 has a very high standard of fighting/action scenes. But the last 2 animes only last about 12 or 13 eps. It&#39;s explain the high standard, since they don&#39;t have to spread the budget. Same as stand alone anime like Spirited Away or Read or Die movie. Budget is not their problem.

Seen FLCL, cowboy bebop ... and am not impressed with the drawing of the actions at all or even the drawing overall. Seen alot of the newest or the popular anime but not all of them, so If I miss something let me know.

That&#39;s exactly what I did recently.. .^_^... It&#39;s so great... yeah, they drag it out, but it makes it more fun IMO...

Not only in this forum, but in many forums, I hear people moaning and groaning that Naurto is going to be another DBZ, and then for each of those persons there are about 5 more saying how much they like it.

I&#39;d like to point out that an anime is never overated or underated. The very term rate(using it as to rate something) is based on opinion. Just becuase you say "this anime is overated" does not mean that&#39;s a fact. Many, many people appreciate Naruto, and some don&#39;t. It doesn&#39;t mean Naruto sucks, and it doesn&#39;t mean Naruto is the best.

Also, I have heard people being called names for simply liking Naruto. This is extremely innappropiate, as just because someone likes something you don&#39;t, it does not make them stupid. And perhaps the person calling the names could be the stupid one.

Finally, people need to stop making stupid remarks on how horrible Naruto is if they haven&#39;t even seen it (though I don&#39;t believe anyone has done such a thing here.)

sigh... movie isn&#39;t going to be coming out for a while. The problem is because all movies are licensed so we won&#39;t be getting a good quality version of the naruto movie till naruto comes out in america. :(

The movie probaly won&#39;t be good; except for Cowboy Bebop: The Movie, I&#39;ve never seen a movie based of a series that as actually worth watching.

Naruto is a good anime, and I really like it, but it seems to be going downhill from episode 90. Its like the enemies aren&#39;t going more fierce, and such. It seems to start a loop. But I still like it :)

I love Naruto&#33; I&#39;ve read most of the chapters, (some from shounen jump, most from scanlations :sweatdrop: ) but I&#39;ve only seen the first episode....I&#39;d love to see more&#33; My favourites are Gaara, Itachi and Naruto. They should show more anbu itachi >___<

yep. probably the best thing about the manga is that Sakura is actually worth something now. Not just the weak, almost filler character she used to be when compared to Naruto and Sasuke.

The more I watch of this the more I like it I like how theres alot of characters too more background and detailed. Anywho for those that think it gets bad in the chuunin exam, it gets alot better soon after (i personally didnt think it was dull but I did notice a diference)

A lot of badass characters are Kakashi, Asuma, Rock Lee (the baddest), and Neji. AND shikamaru.

shuriken are the throwing stars, by the way. you won&#39;t find those in many other animes.

naruto&#39;s ninjas are based on the original japanese ninja, only with a modern clothing style, so they&#39;re basically the same.

ayanami was right on the mark with just a FEW badass characters.

i meant a good sense of humor in terms of the topic at hand. you may find plenty of funny animes, but do they also have ninjas, blood and violence? probably not.

i almost forgot about the kickass musical scores, such as the raising fighting spirit, among others.

Obviously its not realistic. While realistic animes are very good, the kick that you get out of a dark-clothed guy creeping by security to stab some general in the back is not the same as watching people run around faster than the eye can follow and blow fire at each other, or make clones, or blow things up. This is the only reason why i watch Naruto. Its just fun to see the good guys kick the crap out of the bad guys, blowing things up and summoning giant frogs in the process of doing so.

I mean, the plot sucks, the drawings are not well done, the music was good but it gets a bit repetitive after 150+ episodes, ect ect, but the action is awsome.

But I definately prefer the manga to the anime... too many animation issues in the anime.

Besides, how long has it been since you actually saw a realistic anime...

(1) if this is bad animation, i need to really see the best...
(2) i don&#39;t watch realistic animes... never have, probably closest is case closed... and rurouni knenshin, etc.
(3) the anime music does get repetitve, but it IS better overall, and if it were used in moderation it would rock
(4) after watching anime first, i can&#39;t read the manga... i get bored...

There is a quality of realism and supernatural in naruto. It&#39;s not just focusing on one of em. My only complaint (kinda stupid one) is the lack in detail compared to other anime. Like the eyes, most are just one color and don&#39;t look like regular anime eyes.

Yah. The naruto dub isn't perfect, but it's very good, for a dub. Certainately watchable if you don't have a DVD burner or arent willing to do anything technically illegal. Much better than one-piece or (imo) gundam seed.

I think that'll change over time. The VA's will get more used to their characters, and the characters will start growing up. Though I wasn't as irritated by Naruto's voice as it seems you two were.

I hate fillers but love the manga.

Hah - yes, the recent japanese fillers have been honestly boring - though what's really odd is that they're doing fairly major character development in them that isn't reflected in the manga yet... Very ... Strange, really. I can't imagine them doing it without the manga-ka's permission, and yet ... I don't see how he'll catch up in the manga. Who knows.
