Here we go again......I need a program to compose music. Any good Free ones available? In my last post i wasnt asking anyone to illegally give me a program.... lol Anyway, im jus looking for a program to compose music with! Let me know if you know any good FREE ones. Thank you.

that's better :D

The best (imho) free one out there is Finale Notepad 2003. (http://www.finalemusic.com/). It will work fine for basic composing. Notepad Plus is basically the same thing, but you can import/export and save as midi. If you are willing to pay a little bit of money, PrintMusic will do almost everything you need (Sarah made all her sheet music in PM :D). PM is $70, but you might be able to get an academic discount.

I dont like NotePad tho............................................... . @_@ O well, it works until i can get a good program! ^_^

I haven't tried it out yet, but some say that Noteworthy Composer is a good free program.

noteworthy composer download. the thing thats really cool about it is that it can read certain music files and write the sheet music for you
