Haha, I always doubted that I will make my own art thread, but since I decided to keep drawing and drawing so I can get better. I guess its okay to have a little art thread.

Note - There might not be alot of drawings now, but more additions will be added later. Critics are welcome, and suggestions always helps me get started on new drawings!

Right now I'll post all the ones I drew previously.

This was my redrawn picture for a better look with his "traditional" Clothes. Well, I wasnt really creative, but I drew what was on my mind! (Like I always do.)

That was actually my attempt at drawing something completely random. Hiei actually was first created many years back, and refined. The only thing that was random, was drawing the "cursed seal" (haha stole from naruto!) onto Hiei. My drawing skills still sucked, but I was content with it. (heck, I was really happy with it that I showed it to all my friends.) (Dont try that at home, folks.) From that day on, my ideas of making Hiei a RP character was born. (That was also how I got my cursed seal skill idea from. Again all my ideas come straight from my inspirations down to paper.)

One of my latest works. I have no idea why it took 2 hours, but I believe it was because I had to use a ruler and some kind of perfect circle thing so I can draw the lines and circles right -_-. This came from a daydream I was having when I was thinking about making another character, and all of a sudden a new character popped up, equipment skills and all. This character uses time magic, and I decided "Hey, why not draw a time magic circle just to kill time?" Well, I did and after many erases and clean-ups I was pretty happy with what came out. The chinese/Japanese words I wrote needs to be validated. I have no idea what each means, but I believe thats what each stands for. I'll explain later >.>

Hey, who said art has to be just a drawing? I've been making layouts for my xanga for a short time. I'm not good with photoshop, but I did make a pretty good Love Hina layout out of all the pages of manga I had from Love Hina. Alot of improvements wouldve been done to make this better, but I was lazy, and blah.

Definately one of my best works. I really liked the color blending I did in this layout. I also took that butterfly from the first ending of naruto, and stuck it in there. I think it looks like a good addition. However the butterfly seems a bit too... big. Oh well. Its still my favorite!

This was one of my first INK drawings by itself. (Using pen., no pencil outlines, etc.) This is the earliest image I've drawn since I can remember that was saved. (saved on my computer I mean. The real drawings are either lost or somewhere in a stash of books and paper.) Yeah this is Hiei again, and on his shirt reads Baka Ni, which I believe it means idiot. Everything seems pretty bad, and yet thats still how I draw today. However I like the way its drawn. Its also my lame attempt at light shading (I mean both ways, shading light, and shading lightly.)

Haha just finished drawing it NOW. Its supposed to be Hiei when he is 25 years old. Normally I was thinking about revamping my character, making him die and reincarnate into the same demon known as Hiei, but is MUCH nicer and smiles alot etc. I dont think I will be killing him off now yet. I think I am getting better a bit at drawing now, since now I can draw his ears (I SUCKED on drawing ears. Infact I sucked at drawing any part of the body. (including clothes =P)) His hair seems pretty cool, and nothing really bothers me. I only drew the top since I was concentrating on the top part first so I can get it perfect before I can do anything else. On his shirt was also supposed to read Baka Ni (Idiot), but I was too lazy and forgot to draw it. Blah.

Another Drawing of The matured Hiei ^^, I dont know, but I've grown to a liking of the way I draw him now. Even though summer is almost over, I decided to draw him half nekkid. (Obviously he is at the beach.) This was to test my skills on human anatomy, and to tell you the truth this is ACTUALLY my first time drawing a person with muscles and a guy with a chest. I had absolutely no idea how to start so i looked at some images over the net and this is what I came up with. The thing he is holding is a picnic basket. I'm no good in drawing objects either. His arms look funny, and I'm not good with drawing hands especially when it comes to holding something or positioning it. Took an HOUR and alot of erasing to finally make me satisfied with it. Hope you girls like him haha. NOTE if you look closely, I drew his right hand wrong. His thumb shouldnt be sticking out from his right. x_x

Thats about it! I'll add some more drawings hopefully by the end of this month. When I do I will post in this topic to keep you guys updated. Please give comments, and when you do BE HONEST ABOUT IT. I hate people who suck up and try to be nice so I dont feel bad. I need suggestions to make my drawings look better. I'm counting on you guys to help me!

For the chinese words in Aug 26/05, the centre one in the circle means time, the one above it means sky, the one on its left means night, the one on right means day, the one bottom means open. And the word on the diagonal top means moon ! :P Anyway, that pic's quite interesting.

Hmm...your drawings are generally simple but neat and quite cute. ^_^ The rp pics are of your unrevamped char right? Actually i don't think it matters if you revamp it or not, cos you can just draw out another pic of your revamped character if you revamp it. :heh:

I think you've already decided not to revamp him - I can read it in the way you write ;) Your character facial expressions are good but I do think you need to study reference pictures a bit more when it comes to drawing the body etc, preferably line drawings rather than photographs - and don't just draw people, draw animals, trees, landscapes, that kind of thing, because it gives you an eye for lines, curves, how to use reference points to gauge where x is relative to y, and so on. As you practice you'll get better at line drawing and once you get the hang of placing your lines you'll also get ideas of where to place your shadows - at that point you can have a go at shading your line drawings to give them more depth, and using photographs as reference instead of cartoons :)

you need more...depth in your art work. sorta like what maz said. other than that...the circle thingy's awesome.

yea got the same problem sometimes, no one responds on my art. Mostly got only 1 to 4 responds. Hope that will change.

oh yea 'bout you're drawings:

I think I kinda like your style, simple and cute( allthought I prefer to draw a more 'realistic' manga style).

My idea is also to draw realistic kind of manga. For example some mangas drawn by takeshi matsu. (yaoi manga artist) However, my drawings are nowhere near realistic as of yet.
