Anybody here heard of Randy Newman? Besides like, "You've Got a Friend in Me" and those other Disney/Pixar songs. He is awesome. He's like a reborn Cole Porter.

Sure! One of my favorites is his parody song, "Short People". (And who can forget his "Left foot, Right foot" from Family Guy?)

Yeah, "In Germany Before the War" is one of the most artful songs ever written. And stuff like "Political Science" and "Sail Away" are brilliant parodies of American thought. He's so bizarre in that he writes songs for Toy Story, a Faust musical, and then puts out stuff like "Rednecks," which are scathing social commentaries on all areas of American society, and then he writes songs like "Pants." He's amazing.
