:blink: I was under the impression that he/she wanted those words IN the image...is there a limit to how many lines of text you can have IN an image?

hmm... i always thought that it was about 6 lines of text was about the equivilent of 500 pixels + 2 lines. but i think that mabye we should be checking with an admin about it.

That Sig is wicked! I think it's one of my favorites. It is. I don't know about ava. I know it's the same pic as sig. OOoo.. you should get like a pic of a glowing halo (on the floor. it has to be on the floor) with bunch of.. well not bunch of but some angel feathers around with a background color just like the sig.

i only use the images i'm supplied with. its how work XD

Those are good images. Not dark and not light, and has a good contrast between the characters and background. It would be easy to work with :D

Believe it or not I made the first two images work! Whoo me!

I only made one avatar. Its from the same image as the sig, and Jin was the only one who would fit in the avatar. If you want a different avatar give me one picture and be specific in who you want in it. I didn't think it a good idea to have all three in the avatar because a) it didn't match and b) the picture would be too small and the quality not as good.

By using brushes. You can either make your own brushes, or try to find sites that have downloadabl brush packs.

That white square is supposed to be transparency. When you put it in your profile it should show up to be transparent.

It there should only be a white square if your using AOL or IE. If its Mozilla or FireFox, the transparncy should be transparent.

Alright, so I tried to stick with the style that Stel used in Stinger's and TCA's siggy (I hope you don't mind Stel). Personally, I think it doesn't compare, to mine, its one of the nicest I've ever done. This was kinda an experiment with someoutlining techniques, and, of course, I will always need practice of getting part of an image and pasting it on to another. I think I'm getting better if I do say so myself.

This has been a creation from your favorite ameture sigmaker/transcriber. XD

Stel: I don't like the picture quality that jpeg or gif puts out. What would you suggest?

Don't know if this works, but you can try flattening the image (i.e. Merge all the layers). But seriously, Jpg isn't that bad. In fact, you've got choice over the picture's quality: Low, Medium, High, Very High and Maximum. High is already good enough for most.

I'll try it. I find it weird because I normally flatten the image once I'm through with the piece. If I need to go back and fix something, I'll open up my .xcf file on my computer which perserves the layers.

I know that sometimes I run into problems with the avatar, so I switch to jpeg, but it tends to lighten the colors and make it a bit pixelated. I'll play around with the quality.

:Edit: I'm done, Xtero. There's not much I could do with it giving that you didn't leave much room for creativity. That's not your fault, but mine because I don't know how to work GIMP to its potential yet. :whistle:

Neways, I added an orange backround and I made the text a different font. I won't take offense if you don't want to wear it, expecially the avatar. Its only 75x75, but it matches the sig.

I tried to save it as jpeg. I don't think it will make that much of a difference because this isn't a very, how do you say it, colorful, detailed, etc. signature. It doesn't use the sharp images I like to look for and use.

I guess this isn't really the place to do it, but it's very important to me, so...

I'm looking for a picture of gates. Something similar to the gates of St. Peter's church. Oh, and best if they are open.

Okay... I've got this picture.. and when I put a black background behind it, part of it blends in *making the added background look like part of it*..

Stel: You request didn't go unnoticed. Believe it or not that was a hard thing to look for. I didn't really find much, and what I did find is just a single picture. This particular picture is the black gates of mordor from Lord of the Rings. YRP: To make an avatar you'd need a graphics program. It could be as simple as ms paint or as complex as photoshop. You need to find an image you like, shrink or crop it down to no bigger than 100x100. Then using the program you can add text, borders, etc. to make you avatar look nice. This is the same concept as making a signature.

If you really wanted me to I could make your Frubua set.

Felicity: I wish I could help, but I'm not very good at blending at the moment. I'd just screw the picture up. :\

I know you posted this a while ago, but you can put it in *.png format, that's what all of mine are in, and it almost always has better quality than regular jpeg and definately gif

you could always save the JPG at 100% quality, and up the colours. the image size doubles from about 80% quality, but its usually still smaller then PNG
