just thought I'd post some songs I've sang...

I'm proud of this one, though I didn't create the strings part. It was a loop. I really like this one though. http://www.picapic.net/media/HHZ3JTQ84Q8GV4

This one I did in like 5 minutes. lol. It was in my head for some reason. I've never played MGS though...

Metal Gear Solid 2 theme? - http://picapic.net/media/HCTPP34

I also just did this about 10 mins ago just for the heck of it. Chrono Trigger, 600 ad theme - http://picapic.net/media/PGM7TYM84Q8GV4

This was an original rock song by me that went horribly wrong... http://picapic.net/media/7PSJC94

Here's a donkey kong remix I made.. http://picapic.net/media/JPWRY3N84Q8GV4

Technically, I didn't make this one... I just downloaded a MIDI, changed the instruments, and added a drum beat. FF7 theme remix - http://picapic.net/media/K334R75

And this also... I didn't make it. Downloaded the MIDI, changed the instruments, and added beats to it. It's a song we're singing in Choir class called Jehova Jireh.

here is a song I sang to....lol..i know, i can't sing, but its fun. Bon Jovi- Born to be my baby -http://picapic.net/media/MYZWX2P84Q8GV4

This is me playing 12 Stones - Broken, on my piano. There's a big pause at the end for some reason... http://www.picapic.net/media/X67XKWM84Q8GV4

This is a song I made up called "Just like old times" No lyrics... just song. http://www.picapic.net/media/97DZ69N84Q8GV4

This is a song I did for the tv show host/music composer, Tommy Tallarico. It's all just fun, and I don't believe I have any talent in singing. lol.

This song is pretty cool except there is one part that I don't love around 1:00, where there are the rests, because it doesn't sound very clean for some reason. I love your percussion, though! Some of the melody gets exhausted after awhile, however.

You already got my comments about this song ^^.

Deathraider, Yeah, I see what you mean. Thanks for the comments.

Blombrink, This isn't the same song I sent you. I redid it to try and make it sound better.

I liked it a lot. As people metioned earlier... your usage of percussion captured my attention since I am into those drums and beats and stuff.

I've made a fun song for a TV show host, Tommy Tallarico. He is also a music composer for video games. If any of you guys are fans of him, come visit www.tallarico.com or the message boards at www.tallarico.com/mboard

Anyway, here's the song - http://picapic.net/media/Q4NXG25
I don't have any singing talent, which is why I am considering this a "fun" song...lol

The Donkey Kong remix sounds kinda neat at first, but it doesn't really vary - it just has one section with a constant drumtrack and a melody that probably doesn't deviate much from the original (I don't remember the game's music, but I assume that by the straightforward way it's presented). Also, I really don't like how the theme starts slightly off-beat, like it's a quantizing error or something.

For the voice piece, I rather liked the overlapping textures of the transposed voices, but it sounds kind of off-beat. I'm not sure how you recorded it, but if it was on a seperate track, you probably could've cut it up some more and lined it up to tempo more. The lyrics are kinda silly, but the voice-style and the piece itself sounds more serious than not (until the end, at least :P).

Realize Me starts off pretty neat with the Vinyl percussion, but the transition into the more standard drum set could be smoother. As with the Donkey Kong remix, it could really use some more drastic variation - try to make longer melodies, that usually helps.

Hey, thanks spc1st for the advice. I know what you mean with the donkey kong thing starting too early. The program I use to record voice, etc. always records my stuff really off beat. I need a new one. The lyrics were supposed to be silly :P . And yeah, Realize Me was pretty boring... I'll really try and do what you said to my future stuff.
