Don't let couple bad compositions get you down. If that was the case, there wouldn't be a single composer in the world. Practice, and you'll improve, main thing is getting melody right, try something simple like 4 measure question phrase, and 4 measure answer. I can maybe teach you in depth on few basics, if you'd like ;)

I like this piece... It sorta reminded me of a scene from Naruto or something. The flute makes the piece sound Ninja-ish. lol Beginning is the best part in this piece and that kept me from getting bored.
