XD I read the question wrongly and wrote up a whole paragraph about how manga originated from Hokusai's Ukiyo-e paintings and then realised that's not what you were asking. I've probably only know about manga for four years XD And comics..well I don't read them, but as I come from a Western society where comics can be found in newspapers..I guess I've known about them since I learnt to read at 5...*does math* so 12 years give or take?

Ive known what they are for about 5 or 6 years now, but That doesnt mean I havent read them before that. I also knew what Anime was for about that much time too, but Ive been watching Anime for about my whole life :D

Hmmm must be about... 10-12 years now... back when manga wasn't actually carried in English other than Mixx Manga. Bleh. >_< Thanks to manga being translated and sold in America on a large scale now, it's far easier to get the Japanese manga for dirt cheap now. ^_^
