It may or may not be common knowledge, but there is going to be a new Hellsing anime OAV series.

It will stay true to the manga and thus... it has NOTHING to do with the previous Hellsing anime.

This is done by a new animation company... and it will rock.

How much will it rock?

This trailer shows how much... (http://rapidshare.de/files/5233961/hellsing.wmv.html)
Here's some more info...

Gonzo productions produced the first Hellsing. Geneon Entertainment is now re-doing Hellsing, following the plot of the Manga written by Kohta Hirano. The project itself will take three years to complete. Each episode of Ultimate is 35 minutes long.

Vol. 8 will come out in Japan at the end of the year, and after that, there's supposedly only two more volumes left.

The first DVD of Hellsing Ultimate will come out in Japan on December 6, 2005. It is not determined when, but Ultimate will come to the states in 2006.

I heard that the "voice" actors are going to remain the same, which is good; it saves people from the unnecessary stress of hearing the 'wrong' voice (e.g. Hey, that soesn't sound like Alucard!!!)

It's a shame Celes has blue eyes though, I loved her red eyes. Love the fact that she looks way more twisted and mature than in the old anime, she looked too sweet in there I think, her new looks are more mature and generally the whole thing looks ten times darkred than the original anime.

They were gonna show Ultimate at Otakon, but didn't due to the fact they couldn't get the DVD cut in time. How sad
