Raves as in the big outdoor manic party? They are superb. We don't get that many in London. Its a shame. I don't know what else to say.

I love electronic music, especially trance, but it's still not popular enough in the states. The last rave I went to was full of 15 year olds doing ecstasy. I did go to a 21+ show featuring Ming+FS when I was in Colorado which was awesome.

Europe has all the awesome trance shows. I want to go to Trance Energy or Sensation in Amsterdam one of these days...

Most techno/rave/trance sound as if it had come straight out of a donkey's ass. I only listen to it when I'm at a party, and I guess that's an appropriate (and only) place for it.

Eh...trance...it's too overused for me. I mean, trance is ok...but when you're talking to someone who has grown up listening to club/rave music her whole life and knows a DJ, you learn there's far more than trance.

For example, I enjoy my Hardcore/House (If you're Dutch/European ^-^), but specifically Happy Harcore X3

I love 'dem CHOONZ....XD

I also enjoy some Jungle/Breakbeat stuff, but Hardcore, Happy Hardcore, SpeedCore, DarkCore,Gabber/Gabbah/However you want to spell it XD, etc. are the best to me ^_^.

My only problem with trance is it's ALWAYS used in movies, so everyone is always saying: "LEIK OMGZ 1 4M SUCH 4 R4V3R (or clubber, whichever) N0W!!!1!1!!!" just because the listen to trance...or what they claim is "Rave" music..when most of the time it's not ._. (This has actually happened to me..people saying they're cool and "ravers" because they listen to the music and are drug-heads...)

And yes..raves in the states normally suck. Buncha druggie-head kids thinking they're cool >_<;

The best are in places like Canada, and certain places in Europe.

But then again...those people have enough common sense to know that drugs kill their brains (or at least most do...) and only go to the rave for the fun.

Sadly..media has made raves seem "evil" because of the stupidheads who think a rave is just for drugs.

I like house, d&b and the variants at clubs, but I really enjoy the melodic nature of trance. I don't understand why people hate on it so much. I know several DJs. I've DJed a few times myself. and I still love trance :P

wooo! trance rocks. Korea has awesome raves...they're the greatest. 15 year olds doing drugs is stupid, don't know what is so "cool" about it. anyways, ....*gasp!!!* i currently live in Colorado!

anywho, homecoming is coming up...my friends and i are planning to start a rave, and a glowsticking circle. we're gonna down a glowstick, then let the party start. Glowsticks taste nasty :sick:
