Recently, I started listening to Carl Orr's Carmina Burana. It has quickly become one of my favorite classical works. My favorite piece is O Fortuna. I love the dynamics. I was wondering what others think about it.

I think you may have heard it. This piece is very famous, and it has been used for several movie trailers. If you watch tv, you've probably at least heard a small bit of it.

Ah, this song XD . . as a dramatic piece, I do find that it's certainly impressive.
Edit: *slaps himself for being too lazy to look up midi earlier*

That was used in the Zelda trailer, wasn't it? O Fortuna.
Also in Conan the Barbarian, or whatever that movie was called.
Edit: Absolutely not. My bad. :p

Actually, it's Carl Orff (Kinda sounds like a dog's bark, doesn't it? "Orff! Orff!" )

Love it!!! One of my favorites!

Oh, I love this song. I learned how to play it about a month ago on my keyboard, except the title on the sheet music was "Angel's Holocaust." :\

I have loved this song for a while. I love this type of music. That is one reason why I love One-Winged Anged! XD One-Winged Angel I liked first, though. I have the mp3 of it I found on www.dogpile.com 's audio search. ~

Played a transcrption for wind symphony last year. Needless to say it was powerful loud and I could have sworn that there was a choir behind us (though there wasn't). I liked the song near the middle (something about the taverns, and drunkards), because it was my first brulesque(sp?) piece ever to play. It is indeed a work of art, and a treasured(sp? again) album.

Whoops, I don't know where I got that name from...
And, I think I incorrectly categorized it... I think it's a contemporary piece... not sure...

The peice was composed in 1937, so it's not exactly as contemporary as other things, but it's certainly not extremely old. Almost 70 years ago. Orff himself died in 1983.
