Me and a classmate spend quite some time playing Dynasty Warriors 5. I love this game, nothing's better than beating up hundreds of people with a big fork. Anyone else know of this game? :D

I've been a die hard fan since DW2.
I own: DW2, DW3, DW3 XL, DW4, DW4 XL, DW4: Empires, DW5 and soon DW5 XL.
This game is extremely addicting, also a very good game to unleash your anger. Guan Yu rules ;p

Ah, nothing like a good 10 minutes of Whra Whra Huu! Whra Whra Huu! (x100). That's it though, these games never appealed to me, but they can be fun to play for a couple of minutes.

I love the dynasty warriors games. I have only a few of the series though. I was going to get the one for the PSP but it got really bad ratings.

You have to be a DW fan to really appreciate the games. If your not a fan of them, you get bored easily with them then end up hating it.

ok, i got a quick little story (i might have said it somwhere before... but ohwellz)
well one day.. my mum goes to the front door to get the letters and stuff... and she finds a plastic bag hanging on the door. inside this bag is DYNASTY WORRIORS (the fifth one i think...) and me mum gave it to me and said "here your friend returned this"
and i said "erhh... i never bought that game... and non of my friends have the game"
and she said "well it was hanging on our doorknob"

I always play with Xing Cai. Got her level at the highest and got her unique weapon, currently maxing out her stats. She rules XD Who wouldn't love an überly cute girl who slaps hundreds of soldiers with a gigantic fork?

It's funny though, my classmate's brother says Xing Cai is a horrible character with lousy controls and useless moves, yet, I still manage to win pretty much every level. Anyone ever beated Lu Bu in the level where you're supposed to avoid him? That was quite a satisfying thing to do B)

I do like the characters; it's refreshing to see legendary names from chinese history in a such modern game. XD

Anyway as for the game.... I played DW4. Gaargh. Seemed more like senseless killing more than anything. Sure, it's fun for a bit taking on masses of guys at once.... but that's it. It's all the same thing. :(

Maybe it's just not my thing.

It's always satisfying to decimate an entire army by one's self, whether it be with forks, knifes, staves, swords, pikes, septers, flutes, wolverine claws, big, round, sharp objects, etc.

Has anyone played Samurai Warriors? I preferred it to Dynasty Warriors because the controls felt a bit more "real." And you could turn the silly voice-acting off in favor of all Japanese.

Yeah I got that, not as better as DW but it's still pretty fun. I like the multiple path thing.

What are the differences between DW5 and DW4? Is it the same storyline? I'd imagine so since it's based off history, and history doesn't really change for sequels.

DW3 had multiplayer too. DW5 has a more in depth story mode plus there are much more characters. More strategy is needed now because you have to take over these bases in order to lower the opposing side's morale. Kind of like DW4: Empires.

why do i like her? not because she uses a boomerang (at first i thought it was some kind of blade) but its because her skills are pretty cool and works to my liking very well!

Romance of The Three Kingdoms? yes I have. I have the book actually and it's one of the best I've read. Far more interesting than World War 1 and 2 if you ask me. It feels magical, wonderful book, I recommend it.

I read a bit about this game but I've never played it!! It looks so cool and I would LOVE to play it but does Inu have the right consoles? NNOoooOOOOooo, all she has is a measly GBA ;_; though, I saw a DW game for GBA...but it just won't be the same... *sigh*

About the horses, they are nice to bash down groups of enemies XD Also, kicking Lu Bu off his horse is always a satisfying moment :whistle: and then steal his horse so he'll clone it and there'll be two of them XD

DW series is good, but then recycle the material so many times and it just gets stale.

Although my brother.. has completed the game beyond completed-ness =_=
max stats, unique weps, and then over 50000 kills with every character... :mellow:

dynasty warriors is very fun. i would say dw3 is the best because its the first time in the series that has actuall good levels. however for 3 i would say the archers are not shooting arrows. they are shooting out a real gun. (note if you played DW 3 on hard or chaos you would know wht i mean). also any one ever played samurai warriors?

The best stages were on DW 2. I loved the Hu Lao Gate Stage on DW2, I always made my bodyguards attack Lu Bu and I just watched them get murdered hehehe.

I got DW5 on Xbox. It's so cool! It has Japanese voices too, they are much better than the English ones. It's funny, in the English version Xing Cai sounds like a very sweet little girl while the Japanese voice sounds very mature and confident XD The whole character is just completely different now. Much cooler B)

hate it when that happends... but atleast you heard it from crap to good
because if you play or watch somthing with good voices.. then you watch it in another language and it sounds gay... then.. it just makes the experience worse i think...

If you're smart, this game is actually based off of real life you know.

Every character, general, private (no jk lol), well you get the point. All the events that take place (better in dw5 because when you win it was real) all happened.

I've been playing since like Nov. of 2004, on DW4, then in March I got DW5 like the first day it came out.

It's really fun but at the same time, challenging at points.

Lu Bu ISN'T impossible to beat on Hard/highest diffuculttey, expecially with a max. stat character. On DW4, my character Shugo owned Lu Bu in like less than 10 hits. Was kind of sad that the dude Lu Bu got owned.

Anyway, DW5XL actually mkaes you create your own character. I'm gonna buy it when I have the time AND money.

EDIT : Lu Bu's voice in DW5 should have been the same as it was in DW4. DW5 makes him sound really friggin' old. If you know what I mean. (BTW English version).

Yea but, I like 4 A LOT better than 3. And 5 A LOT better than 4. So, sure lol.

DW3 is an OK version of the game in my perspective. You can't kill as many people in like 2 combos, it locks on like one person when you do combos.
I use the joystick/analog to go in circles and get like 10-50 (Yes, 10-50. Big range but 50 isn't hard with 6 attack weapons on spear-like weapons) in like 1-2 combos.

Also, there are better characters in it. Plus graphics!

Oh yea, and the missions are more "realistic" to what the history really was.

I heard it was a was based on the history of China.

I'd have to agree with you. Yeah some parts of the game is quite fictional but really the characters revolved around the game are apart of real history. I read the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. It was a long book and it takes a lot of patience to finish it but it's definately worth reading! ~*Asuka*~

Ah, thanks for reminding me of DW6. :) It's been a while since I looked at misc. screen shots of it, but lost interest knowing that it was for PS3 and 'Xsux'360.

It looks epic, and I can't wait how many new things they've added. . .the video you posted shows some new potential, and probably a lot of rumors too. . .sad that I won't get it, but my friends getting a PS3 and he says DW6 is one of the games he's going to buy.

And yeah, Lu Bu's costume looks pretty nice, but the Halberd was always the best. :P

WOOO!! I'm so addicted to Dynasty Warriors games. My DW4 Disk broke!!! There are these weird light circular scratches on my disk. Is there any way that I could fix it?

Oh yeah, by the way, can someone give me the piano music sheet for " A long time ago". This theme was from DW4, when you finish mosou mode, or when you go into the ecyclopedia menu.

You will need to make the sheet request in the shet request section of the forum otherwise the composers/transcribers will not find it. I havn't played the more recent dynasty warriors games as by the end of #4 it seemed all to familier, I'd prefere it if I didn't have to be the one to kill almost every officer each battle just to keep my lord alive. #2 was my fravorite for bieng able to let the lord go off alone and actually survive and having LuBu as such a good challenge.

orochi warriors is some what fun (a person I know imported) except that the orochi people and generals deal a lot more damage then any human general and that the max level is 99.

hello...well I love the Dynasty Warriors game!! ish awesome!!! dude..all of the characters are awesome!! especially Zhao Yun(i think thats the one on the shu force) hes hot! well I use Zhange He...at first when i played the game llike DW3 or something I thought he was a flat girl or something..I was in denial!! i knew it was a metro guy!! DX hes still cool though!! I own with him!!

The music suits the game but it's not something i'd listen to without playing the game at the same time.
I'm currently playing DW5 and planning to complete it on hard with each character. No real challenge if your the type that trains the character instead of just playing straight through.

I like the Samurai warriors music more...

If you go to Taito movieland in Japan, the dw music is used in their stage shows.

Haha, the DW soundtrack is bascially Iron Maiden. Hu Lao gate in DW4 is a really good rip from "Two minutes to Midnight."

i started playing dynasty warrior starting with dynasty warriors 4 and 5 and i havent been bored with playing it yet.

haha my friend got my dynasty warriors for christmas and it's okay kinda hard and confusing my boyfriend and his friend are OBSESSED with it, they come over just to play it haha
