File > Open (select .MID) and open the midi file. If that doesn't work for some reason, then just right-click the MIDI, and Open with: Finale '05

Yes, although there are loads of cracks floating around to prevent it.

i see....but then when I try to open the MIDI sequence with the program...it won't let me but I'll try right clicking
