Many people don't like Fritz Kreisler because most of his works are "ripped-off" of baroque composers. He found a handbook full of unpublished songs and adjusted them for violin + piano accompaniment and became famous. Do you like him? Do you like his compositions? Here's one of my fav songs "by" him. It was actually composed by Gaetano (sp?) Pugnini during the Baroque era, most likely for harpsichord or organ solo. I can't find anything else by Pugnini, unfortunately. :( Anyway, I love this song. If you want, I can post a few of Kreisler's other songs, including a few of his original compositions. He wasn't much of a composer - mainly just an "arranger"/composer. :P

PS: If you take Gand's bandwidth to listen to it, at least reply. :P :)

Well, he did compose a few original tunes, but many of the songs he composed weren't original: in the published versions, they were simply said to be "In the style of..." the original composer of it. :P Many people disliked him for this. A few of his original compositions were Liebesleid and Liebesfreud, as well as La Gitana and Caprice Viennois (sp?).
