So I got a new belt buckle, its nice and shiny and its of Pac-Man. Real nice and it was only 5 dollars.

But the problem is I dont know how to put it on my belt. I guess it is one of those things your dad should tell you but I dont really like my dad alot...So I was wondering if someone could tell me how to put it on.

A pic of the *back* (i.e. the mechanism that *holds* the belt) would have been more helpful... <_<

Ah. I cant get an image now (will ASAP) but ill describe it.

Theres a 'hook' on one side of the back. Its slightly cruved twords the center, but only slightly so It may not really be a hook. About 1 1/5 inches away from the hook theres a oval that has a door-like hinge. It can do a 180 turn from the left side of the buckle to the right side.

I tried puting the belt through that oval and finding a way of how it would latch on with the 'hook', but I cant figure out a way..

It's a pretty common mechanism. Buy a belt with a pair of snaps at one end. (You can also have a leather-working shop modify one by showing them the mechanism. Shouldn't cost more than $5-$10, depending on the grade of leather.) Insert snap end into oval ring (or the tongue-end if the snap-heads protrude too far from the belt's surface.) Wrap around ring and snap. The "hook" goes into the holes at the tongue-end. (You should also angle the "hook" inward just a bit -- a few taps from a small hammer should suffice -- because it will start to straighten after a few years of wear.)

okay, so the buckle is like a replacement for other buckles. I thought it goes over the exsisting buckles..some how

God damn it then, I need to go out and buy a new belt X_X And my exsisting belt already costes like $23, my mom isnt going to me so pleased..

Try looking in thrift stores, Salvation Army stores, etc. They tend to have belts by the dozen. You might find one on the cheap eventually...
