Since it seems my old thread has fallen into the abyss of inactivity, and since I've finally made a new piece, I've decided to start a new thread. I thank anyone who gave any comment or criticism in my previous thread, and I look forward to even more in this one, so that I can be a better composer. ^_^

Well, here's the new one. Enjoy. :)

Note: On the second loop through the second half (starts at 1:58), the violin accidentally goes up an octave. That was a mistake; not intentional. The MIDI conversion kinda screwed up there. I apologize for any bleeding ear drums as a result. :heh: I'll fix it later.

Wow, this almost made my blood circulation stop. I found this to be *too* calm. I've heard slower pieces, but somehow this made me very sleepy o.O; I also thought you could do more with those instruments, especially the strings. I'm not saying it's boring, but yaaaawwn.

Part at 00:54 was a good move, where you changed from major to minor. Good ending.

I really liked it from 1:42 onwards; before that it sounded a bit boring. The piano intro reminded me of Grunge rock without the beat (not even I know, why). The flute played too drawn out notes... It's basically a nice piece; but I think a bit more articulation in the beginning wouldn't hurt.

The ending, is great, though!

Great job. Good as a background for, as the title states, a Magic Kingdom. But when you really listen to it, it's quite boring by the begginning, but it gets awesome anyways.

Two thumbs up! ^_^

Beginning wasn't all that great... I say it is too slow and boring. Perhaps you can do something with the left hand part in piano. After reading the previous comments... I was kinda anxious to listen to the ending... but I don't know... I expected more. I mean... don't get me wrong it was a pretty sweet ending, but I don't know. I can't quite put my finger on it. Sorry.

Thanks for the comments. I appreciate 'em. ^_^

Here's another piece: Ruin. Let me know what you think of the celesta at 0:58. I wasn't sure whether to keep it in. = \

Very moody piece - I like ;). Even though it's not particularly melodic, the chord progression was interesting enough for me to enjoy the whole piece. However, there are a few spots where I wonder if you might have made a mistake in writing them, or if it was intentionally (for example, the 2nd chord on ms. 28 has an eb on the bass note, a d on the piano, and an e on the high strings - very dissonant resultant). Another thing are the sudden loud parts, which seem a bit out of place (ie, ms. 39) - as are most of the overly done fermatas. About the Celesta part, keep it, and continue it for the rest of the piece if possible; I really like the subdued, spacy texture it adds to it. To further that effect, you can try hairpining the dynamics and shifting the panning around. Good stuff overall, though.

The first one..

Sorry to say, wasn't very "touching" to me. It flowed well, but it didn't flow "right." Hmm.. I'd almost say... use chromatics lol. That's probably why it didn't sound very nice to me.

But anyway, trying counts the most, and criticts can be ignored. Just my opinion. <_<

Somehow that song made me depressed... Ah well. It was okay.
Heheh, I'm not very good at expressing my oppinion in words.
