It comes down to FFVII and FFIX for me. VII is really fun and cool, but FFIX has a great story with extrodinary characters. I'm gonna go with IX, although VII is a classic. III/VI is also great, but I'm somewhat morally opposed. I enjoy beating a game at the minimum level. with FFVI, it's impossible to be under powered. All you characters turn into absolute gods.

EDIT: Sorry, I forgot to put five up.

I pick V, because it paved the way for the Job System, which has never failed me (I love FFV, T, and X-2)

Also, with job system, you can play the game differently every single time forever. FFV never gets boring.

For me it's really a toss up between FFVII,IX,and X. VII is just a great game. Nuff' said. IX is more fantasy/miedeval like. It has more of a storybook aspect. Plus it has really awesome FMV's. My favorites are the one when Odin destroys Cleyra or whatever Freya's home is called, and the one where Vivi whoops Black Waltz No.3's butt. And FFIX has Vivi, in my opinion the best final fantasy character ever. Now in FFX there are alot of good things too. Blitzball was really fun, and the storyline was pretty solid too. And, FFX has Rikku :drool:

I voted VII.

It has a great plot and its one of those games that when it ends your like: Damn.

Though it has one problem: Which is how godly your characters get.
Its not that bad.

I prefer 7 its got more interesting things to do and see and the materia system is good to use to create combos for types of slash and magic

VI is the great vintage game. But it is not my favourite. Allthough it has some neat characters, they aren&#39;t nearly as well developed as IX&#39;s.
It had stunning graphics as far as the SNES was concerned, but it&#39;s still on an SNES.
The plot wasn&#39;t that interesting either. But, all final fantasy plots are essentially the same. Oh no&#33; Androgenous villain du Jour is trying to destroy the world&#33; There are some minor exceptions and alterations to this rule, but largely, that&#39;s it.
It was kind of cool to have no main character though.

FF IX kind of missed the deep characters IMO... even though I still like that one a lot. The thing with Kuja being Zidane&#39;s evil "brother" kind of killed it for me. Along with the monkeytail it all reminded me too much of DBZ =_=

FFVII here.

Yeah, at first I just kind of accepted that he had a tail. I just thought, "ok, it&#39;s Japanese. Main characters are allowed to have tails." I was kind of surprised when they made it a plot point.

I&#39;m not a big fan of Kuja.

Oh and I forgot to say that VI has the greatest moment in Video Game Music History. The Opera Scene. Need I say more?

The opera was amazing. I love the song, and conceptualizing an opera is pretty big work, especially since they didn&#39;t use it that much

I nominate that the opera should be redeveloped into a real, full length opera

FFIX. Yes, it beats FFVII. Its characters come off as more human and believable (not to knock some of FFVII&#39;s better characters). FFVII was also marred by Square&#39;s poor localization, as was FFVI and all preceding FFs.

I don&#39;t even need to discuss FFVIII. Ugh.

FFIX has a stunning score, great characters (well, half of them), the right depth in character customization, and GARLAND. It gets my vote.

I played FFMQ. I got like 3 of the crystals (if I remember correctly)

Yeah... Sephiroth IS really cool B) ... Still Tactics was a great game. And it has some good characters; Delita, Orlandu, Wigraff, Marquis Elmdor... The graphics DO suck @_@ but a good game isin&#39;t based around graphics. To me good graphics are an extra.10&#39;s good too...but Tidus is a wuss (So is Ramza though <_< ). I also liked the story in tactics. The whole job class and ability getting is one reason I really liked it :D . Tactics is just an all around good game&#33; :lol:

I really liked FFT too but the characters are not very memorable. While you remember characters like cloud and sepphy, all the FFT cast are not very memorable or original as they don&#39;t learn any unique abilities (with the exception of guts) or recieve any unique items that no one else in the game can.

man people you know what im just gonna open up my own thread of games guru so people can ask me questions there.....

ok to get past jechts second form go back and get yojimbo in your summon list and have his overdrive full. giv him all your money as money no longer matters anymore and he should use zanmato......bang jechts dead. it also depends how good you are at it because my brother had crap skills and level and was stuck for months at 1 bit...i done it for him 1st time round.

Tip: at the start of every battle unless the have a move which nullifies it like dispel always have you characters on haste and protect......im not to sure about shell because of curaga.

Well, most mature, and entertaining for ps1/snes series has to be ff8. 7 is like kiddie game compared to it. But ff series suck compared to games such as tales of destiny or star ocean 2...so yeah

I think the FFT cast is quite memorable. Maybe you have to beat the game first for it to sink in... Delita&#39;s awsome&#33; ecspecially in his spiffy golden armor. Ummm... It&#39;s supposed to mean I like the game Final Fantasy Tactics... It&#39;s good cuz it&#39;s not like an RPG where every character gets enevitable moves that no matter what you&#39;d get. And their are only so many characters who can never change how hard you try. In tactics you can custumize them down to the very abilitys they have. Final Fantasy Tactics: Best game ever&#33; And will always be...unless they actually make a good sequel...

I like FFX, thought FFVIII is cool, and so is Tactics. Okay... I admit. I&#39;ve only played (playing?) FFX, played 10 minutes of FFVIII (though does watching near the entire game count?), and watched Tactics through most of the game. TT_TT I know, sad, right?

I love the graphics in FFX, though&#33; When the super-cool graphics in the "movies" go, that is. It&#39;s really awesome&#33; And in FFVIII, if I recall correctly, most of the GF&#39;s are done rather well. In Tactics... there isn&#39;t much to praise over graphics. >_> You only see the artwork in the Guide Book, really.

Yeah, I can see that. The dress spheres are really cool. It&#39;s just the "dress" part that throws me.

Final fantasy 7 is the one for me, mainly because of the brillant story line. Final fantasy 9 is good because it had Vivi as a playable character.

I voted FF7, YAY&#33; FF7 was the one that got me started, it was my first Final Fantasy, and I loved it&#33; Though I sorta never finished it ^^" I had my version on PC, and it was great, FFX was okay...so was FF8, but...7 for me, definately, it&#39;s the butter on my bread. :D

FF5. Its not a suprise most people dont have FF5 as their favorite.

1. FF5 wasnt released to you.S (though you can still get it in english)
2. Even if people were to download it, they wouldnt play it since its "out of style".

I like FF5 for these reasons
1. I love old school RPGS
2. FF5 to me had the best story of all Final Fantasies
3. Its graphics at the time are great. Better than FF4 (FF2 for you.S)
4. Just like any old school FF game, you can select mor ethan one target for magic.

My second favorite is FF9. Its closely related to FF5.

Now for tactics, i liked that game but when it came to fighting black mages i kept losing to their magic..... so i finally gave up and thats the end of that game.

Wow... Everyone loves FFVII. Well, I would too, but I don&#39;t think it&#39;s the greatest game of the FF&#39;s. Personally, I thought FFVI was fun... and FFIX was a bit fun too... Either way, it comes down to FFVI, FFVII, and FFIX, though I voted for VI.

and FFX-2 was fun.. though I didn&#39;t play it to get horny, as moethechicken says...

Now I play FFXI and thats just like...awesome... :drool: I like FFXI cause you can make so many friends instead of just having party members, and one of my friends on that game got his wife from that game. :flower: , and mithra&#39;s and taru&#39;s are just flat out cute. :neko:

Final Fantasy VII,although Tactics does come close :/

one of my favorite games of all time is Final Fantasy X&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33; the story is wonderful and deep, the graphics will make ur eyes pop out, the music is unforgetable (one of my fav cds&#33;&#33;), the game its self is fairly easy (i&#39;m soo close to beating it&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;). Yuna and rikku and Lulu rock my socks&#33;&#33;&#33; one of only draw backs, pre-set camera angles.

i&#39;m also a big fan of FFX-2&#33;&#33; yuna is soo much cooler&#33;&#33;&#33; i also like the non-linear gameplay and the reminicing of it all. the garment system is also very cool&#33;&#33; but it sadens me to fight against my own aeons.

Have also been playing FFI and FFII (aka dawn of souls) for GBA. go tit for christmas and it has been fun, just no time to play it.

thats one of the purpose of FFX. Its supposed to portray reality and real people so you can actually get the feel of your characters.

Its VII and VIII not XII or XIII. They havent been released yet.

i&#39;d pick FFX&#33; to me is the best^^ and i really like the main character Tidus&#33; he&#39;s so energetic and cheerful&#33; the battle system is nice too~ as for the storyline mm... i guess it&#39;s kinda sad but pretty good&#33; nd the music is definitely awesome&#33;&#33;&#33; XD

don&#39;t really like any of the ff game, cause of the battle system, it&#39;s like u waiting for ur opponent to hit u and u hit him back (not the case in real life). But i do love the graphics in ffx-2, my brother&#39;s playing it. Graphics (only apply to certain series) music, and storyline wise, i&#39;d give all the ff series full mark.

But it&#39;s just my opinion anyway, so feel free to disagree.

I think, all FF-Stories are fantastic :D But I like Kingdom Hearts too :lol:
