Apparently it's an open-source handheld. The main site is GP32x.com
It is basically a 7 year old computer with the ability to read ROMs for the Nintendo system to the NeoGeo system. The idea is good, but it won't survive in this world of stellar graphics and epic storylines. It's kinda like the third handheld that was designed to rival the GBA. I can't remeber what it was called (for some odd reason Python comes to mind), but it was a PDA/Game system merge. It'll be like the Nokia nGage.

Do you refer to the Tapwave Zodiac? It was a cool idea and a nicer implementation of features than the N-Gage and even the PSP to a certain extent but Nintendo actually did something with their touch screen.

Yeah, this thing will never fly though. Even if it does manage to gain some sort of following a handheld essentially based off pirated software can only get so popular before the owners of the copyrights to the aforementioned software shut them down.

No, only the first one looked dumb! The specs for the Gizmondo widescreen rival and even beat the PSP in some ways. Its a GPS too. Heres an image of the Gizmondo widescreen
