I believe I spelled that right. Regardless, its a great anime. I was inspired to search for it after looking at Maz's sig. After downloading the anime (First 10 or so episodes) I like it. It has ignited a passion for music deep within me XD

I want to read the manga because I've heard it was different from the anime. As in Hameln is a pervert XD (Man after my own heart)

What do you guys/girls think? Have you much less seen it?

Wooo, I inspired someone! XD Hameln is a complete arsehole in the manga apparently - Maestrosetti's the one to ask, he's seen the anime AND read the manga. I really want to get hold of it too. Did you know there's a game (http://www.the-underdogs.org/game.php?id=3415) as well?

Yes there is. Its for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. And in that he uses flute to break down brick walls and dresses her up in funny outfits so she can walk over spikes and what not.

He's my hero! XD

I'm one of the biggest nuts for Violinist of Hameln and have been since 3NA fansubbed it forever ago... Heh I just participated in a huge VoH cosplay group (I was Clari ohohoho)....

Yeah the manga is quite different... Hamel has more of his memory in that and well... he deals with his problems differently... and thus you get why he's so insane in the manga. I personally like the anime a tad bit more, though I'm in the minority on that one... it had such a horrible budget, and it had to end early, and it's so full of drama, and yet, I love it to pieces. Maybe because I can actually hear all that beautiful classical music and how it plays into important scenes. >) The manga is quite nice as well... the comedy in it is hilarious. Poor Raiel constantly gets forced into women's clothing. ^_^;;

Does anyone have a link to a fansub of the manga?

As long as it's... not illegal... or anything.

Man, I love this anime (and the manga). The ending made me cry. Some people I know have complained about the animation (or lack there of it) but after a while, you don't really notice. I don't know why, but I really like Guitar. He's so cunning...

I really think it adds a certain "feeling" , for lack of better words, when the frames remain still and you hear the talking. I haven't gotten to far yet. But I do know that I'm going to go onto E-bay or look around the Torrent sites for this manga!

Well, if you want a taste of what the manga is like, you can look at the first 6 volumes here. (http://www.abildsoe.com/manga/)

Wow, people do know about The Violinist of Hameln (can be spelled either way...)! Yeah, it's an awesome manga/anime. The manga, I think is better, mind you I've only got volumes 11-20 *translation = time-consuming...*. My favorite character is Sizer, she's so cool and I love her giant scythe. Oh, I just put up a drawing of her in the graphics part, so if anyone would be nice enough to comment on it, please do... Maybe when I become un-poor (haha) and save up some money, I'll scan in a few volumes of the manga and some more drawings...

And yes, E-bay has the manga on sale. However, it is in JAPANESE and it is NOT translated.
