But its going to be an American movie. Thats the problem. If a Japanese company made it, or if it was an anime, it would be fine. But it isnt going to be fine. So, I doubt they will use the original composer, but some crappy one they find in a crack house.

hrmm.. well im sure they will still hire some japanese people to make the movie
and as for the music.. umm.. they should be use the original compser.. or they would atleast use the same songs.. just edited.. but then that would suck.. hrmm ><"

i heard they are making a devil may cry movie aswell...

which in a way.. will be similar to Blade (the movie)...

Yeah, 'Blood Tears' rocks. A lot of music from the second game does. Like 'The Silence of the Daylight'.

OMFG Im so po'ed. My brother started to talk about FFX and how its all great, and I start bashing it. He claims he was a FF fan before I was (And yet I wondered why he hasnt played any other ones.)

So he claims he played FFI on a PS1 at a friends house. I say okay...I claim I know a hall of alot more about Square, PS and games all together then he will ever.

He brings up how the PSX came out in 1997...I was like 'WTF thats when FFVII came out, and there were plenty of PS games before that!' and he says all this crap about if Im wrong I have to give all this stuff to him, and I said fine, but he has to torrent things for me for a year. He says fine, we go to wikipedia, I win, he says I was lieing and December 3 '94 is practicaly '95 so im wrong.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

FUCK!

He's obviously just being a little immature twit. Ignore the problem and it will go away. You can live with the silent satisfaction that you're right and he's not. :P

I know for a fact now that our percious SquareEnix is the worlds most renownd game company.

What exactly is your definition of "fact" because if it includes an unfair cross-section of people in a uncontrolled polling environment with dubious sequiturs then yes, that is indeed a "fact".

In otherwords, I know you're ever so good at pointlessly shouting unfounded filth whenever the opportunity arises but do shut up from time to time. Idiocy is unbecoming in a young man.

What about the now defunct (damn) Microprose or whatever company Sid Meier works for? Or Sierra or even Ubisoft (Damn the Rainbow Six series is cool as is Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell.)

Oi? I didnt understand anything you just said..

By me saying fact, I mean a fact. You can say all the crap you want, but thats your opinion, But that top 100 games is based on the many other people in the world. There are many great comapnies out there, but out of the highest rated games (rated by the population of non-officals from magazines, game sites etc) SquareEnix is the most known.

I never said those wernt great companies. All I said was SquareEnix is the most widly known game company in the world. And thats not based on my opinion, but the many people who visited GameFaqs.

Elite666
November 5th, 2005, 11:01 pm
Well, the only "fact" you've shown is that the majority of Gamefaq readers that vote in polls rate Square-Enix with top honours. Considering I could bring up perfectly valid counter-examples for showing which is the most renowned game company then your ascertation of fact is very very weak.

Also, since the poll wasn't specifically about which game company people felt was most renowned, then you're interpreting and inferring certain things which is very much your opinion and not fact. Therefore, I would ask that you stop posting poor evidence and your poor conclusions as gospel.

uhh... this is getting way out of hand here... it was a simple poll, just let it go

I could actually produce way more people who have heard of "Mario" than who have heard of "Final Fantasy." I guaruntee it. I wouldn't call Gamefaqs representative of the world populace.

I compleatly agree, but just because people know about it doesnt make it good..

Wow, I just contradicted my self...

EA is going to buy the Earth, and just drop the -rth. Easy, huh?

A Da Vinci Code game? *shudder* The book was ok, the movie looks alright, but a game? Thats going to far!

RD
November 6th, 2005, 05:31 am
The book is good, but the movie and game will be crap IMO.

*shudders agian in the thought of a 3D rendered Tom Hanks*

ICO is getting a PAL re-release :teeth: OMG I love ICO, such a good game.

~

Why do people think EA is good? Because they are to fat to play real sports and have to show off on their Madden Football skills? No sport games are good, only the real thing could be good.....

*stabs EA*

chalange everything

wait, how can it be re-released? it was released over here on PAL... you are talking about the PS2 game, right? *can't wait to find it somewhere to buy*

RD
November 6th, 2005, 06:59 am
Well, it was released in Jap, USA and PAL already, but the PAL release wasnt that widespread, not so big. So Sony was going to re-release it all over PAL, make it more extensive.

Either way, I think ICO is an amasing game. I only played the demo, but after looking everywhere for it, I cant find a copy of ICO T_T

i've only seen a copy at my local video-game-hire-place. i completed it, and i want it so bad...

I'm not a fan of EA myself, but people obviously like it for a reason. A lot of casual gamers I see are interested in sports games, and from what I've heard, EA makes them pretty well. Probably because EA takes the "If it's not broken, don't fix it" approach to making games, so you know what to expect when one of their games comes out.

RD, are you sure you're not talking about Shadow of the Colossus?

Elite666
November 6th, 2005, 07:05 pm
EA's kind of evil in that whole "overbearing corporation that stifles creativity" sense but that shouldn't automatically make people ignore their games. They do have some legitimately great games and though they tend to stay on the safe side of things, at least they do it while offering a product with excessive production values.

Besides, ignoring their games would mean you're avoiding some titles that they just publish for the few smaller developers they haven't managed to absorb. Free Radical comes to mind, how can you avoid games by the team that made Goldeneye and Perfect Dark?

BEST GRAPHICS
Resident Evil 4 (Capcom)

BEST HANDHELD GAME
Lumines (Ubisoft)

Im sorry, but I must protest. First of all, there were plenty of games with bettwe graphics from the year. Im not saying RE4 didnt have good graphics, but Ive seen better.

Then theres best handheld game of the year. Sorry, but there was plenty of better games, mainly for NDS. Castlevania, Nintendogs, Electroplankton, Jump Superstars..
