A lot of people seem to be asking about the Tsubasa Chronicles sheet music book. It's available for purchase on Amazon.co.jp, and they ship internationally. The link is here: http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/ASIN/4285103869/250-7252394-6592266

You don't need to be able to read Japanese to order it (although it's good practice!) Go to the main site amazon.co.jp, and click Shop in English. Then search for "4285103869" (the ISBN) and complete your order. It costs 1200円 (plus 1500円 to ship to the states, so about $28 total). Only downside is it takes 3-4 weeks to ship. But still, from what I've heard it's well worth it.

I was intending to buy the Tsubasa Chronicles Sheet Music Book, But I wondering a couple of things about it...

So I thought I'd ask here! Since I can't understand japanese... :heh:

Is the sheet music for piano only? Tsubasa has some pretty violin pieces and it would be great if they had the violin and piano for those songs. Heh, I can't play piano and I want the violin parts mainly.. ^.^

Do they have all songs from the first album?

Umm...Thats about it...Cause it would be great to know!

Thankies~

I'm pretty sure it's piano only, but you could pick the main melody out and play that on the violin (can anyone else help here?)

DTO
November 15th, 2005, 11:37 pm
I can. Yes it is originally made for solo piano players althought like Gand said, you can choose the melody and play it on the violin. I personally have the book and i was able to play the melody on my guitar as well as my piano.

Oh, anime music books are always too pretty to bend open. XD That's a Doremi book, right? They're usually kind of easy... can somebody give us an idea about the difficulty of the arrangements?

Gand
December 1st, 2005, 01:46 am
They do seem pretty easy. I think I might be able to play some of them with practice XD

Yup, Doremi, and it's beautiful! I just made some copies of some songs for the piano so I don't have to bend it all up

edit: OMG! it doesn't have "Kaze no Machi he" (the one the girl in the bar sings) that song is amazing... maybe someone can transcribe it

You should be able to do the Japanese Version easy, the only real diferance is that that English version is played slightly faster, and is played with a guitar. it's about 10 seconds faster than the Japanese Piano version, so you'll just have to adjust the speed at which you play the song.

You know, I could have given you the OST instead of going to episode 20 and trying to trancribe through all those woosh stuff o_o

EDIT - Listened to the music and its close to perfect! and lyrics added along with the chorus too! wow.

However, towards the end the ending was different in the ost rather than the actual episode. Some melody in the song also changed too (Either that or I heard it differently.) and as usuall some parts of the song got an extra note added (which I will revise!)

Here's the link to the song from the OST. Please consider revising since I cant revise this part.

EDIT2 - I resign from revising myself because whenever I try to revise, I end up having to move the rest of the peice to another line, which I dont know how to do easily but re-edit every line which is fustrating me now. I can only point out the errors now, so pelase bear with me

(Error in Bar 5. Melody in Chorus is wrong toward the end of the bar.)

um..i don't have the book, so i have a question..
well, i was wondering if the song "Guess How Much I Love You" in the book is like..um..how should i say this...:heh:
...like, is it the version in the SONG...that doesn't really have the melody (violin has the melody) or is it totally different? (if you get what i mean xD)
btw, happy holidays!

I bought the tsubasa chronicle piano book a while ago, and I was quite dissappointed. They made it too easy to play, often with the left hand just keeping a beat with one note. The one posted on ichigos sound a lot better.

I agree. The left hand accompaniments were a little bland. There were even parts that had the same note go for measures and measures, but that does make playing it a lot easier. I guess that leaves room for improvisation. ;)

going off topic... again

not to be rude or anything, but its actually quite hard for people to type (much less speak) correct english if they havent been in some english-speaking country for more than a couple years. and its even harder for them if they havent been in one at all. since you (hiei) live in new york, you should understand fully what i mean. (and i live in h-town and there are fobs everywhere XD)
but hey, i really have no idea how they even know as much english as they do (luckily, i learned english when i was little) soooo then... is that what online translators are for?

teehee, i love fobs, especially malaysian fobs - they rock my socks off

I ordered the book but I got a message saying my Mastercard was not accepted because it is a DEBIT card. The only other credit card I have is a Discover. Did anyone buy the book and is willing to sell it to me? Is anyone going to order it and can order a second copy for me if I pay you in advance, like through PAYPAL? It would be really sweet. Thanks, Kate

I see the Japanese version of You Are My Love for download but are there any english lyrics I could use for a talent show? I could sing the Japanese version but no one would understand me. -_-

Cheria
March 16th, 2006, 03:21 pm
in the english version of the song, the lyrics are:

Kiss me sweet
I'm sleeping in silence
all alone
in ice and snow

In my dream
I'm calling your name
you are my love

In your eyes
I search for my memory
lost in vain
so far in the scenery
hold me tight,
and swear again and again
We'll never be apart

If you could touch my feathers softly
I'll give you my love
We set sail in the darkness of the night
out to the sea
to find me there
to find you there
Love me now
if you dare...

Kiss me sweet
I'm sleeping in sorrow
all alone
to see you tomorrow

In my dream
I'm calling your name
You are my love...
My love...

But the actual translation of the Jap. version to english is:

The faint sent of tears on my rain-soaked cheeks...
The warm look on the face of travlers...
The music from our childhood faintly echoes in the background...
The memories that I hoplessly try to remember wander aimlessly.
But with these tiny wings, launched by my dreams,
over distant oceans and skies we'll soar, together, to a place where memories never fade.
You light up the way for me in the darkness of the night.
Oh, that warm look on your face...
I miss you so much...

Hope this helps and good luck!

I got the 1st OST, and actually You are my love is in english on it. I was also wondering if the sheet music book you have has the song "a tiny shunshine" for flute on it. It is such a cute song, it seems pretty simple, but I am just horriable when it comes to transcribing stuff.

Ummm, Sodara-san... It's good that you're willing to share, but you should remove that link. After all, the whole point of this thread is to get people to buy the book o__o

There's little enough official anime music published as it is... I think we should support it when it does come out, ne?

soda_o_rat

There is always the copyright problem. In a country we can't afford the japanese sheets, you have to use Internet to buy. Some don't want that.
The copyright doesn't apply to all countries: animes are licensed to some countries, we can download them until it's licensed.

But most of people live in illegality: downloading licensed animes, downloading mp3 etc...

So for tsubasa sheet music? hehe it can be illegal of course. I don't want the forum to have problems with illegality, so I removed the link, isn't it Sephiroth

Anyway, to all who desperately want the sheet music, my message is that music is to share because it's a jewel among arts. And not being able to find the sheet music we love is really a bother.
Just search a bit on the internet, on the forums, and you'll be able to find what you want one day.

Sorry if I offend all copyright defenders, but if we keep ourselves under total legality... I don't think we can improve in music unless we have all the money to buy all the sheets :\

PS: And sorry, I little forgot that the purpose of the thread was for the book. I should say there: if you have the money and the good will to buy the book, go buy it!

Regardless of the morality of music sharing, you don't post copyrighted material on these forums. Period. I don't want a nasty letter from the RIAA or ASCAP, and I'm sure you all don't want these forums to shut down because of it. Thanks for removing the link.

I have a few questions I would like to be sure about before I buy it, and I'd really appreciate anyone who can answer them.

1) Is Yume no Tsubasa in the book?

2) If so, is it only instrumental, or are the lyrics writen in as well?

I want to perform it for my school's concert this spring, but having the lyrics written in with the music is importaint, so If I have to change my plans, I'd best find out now. ^_^

Thanks in advance!

If you mean the English version, then yep it's in the first book, with lyrics. I don't know about the Japanese version, but it's the same song with different lyrics, so you could buy the book then google for the Japanese lyrics.

You'll need to go to Amazon.co.jp. Follow the link in the first post. Amazon.com (or .uk or whereever) doesn't sell Japanese sheet music books.

Anyone know where I can get the first book. Amazon.co.jp sells it for 9000 Yen. Thats too expensive. I ordered one from yesasia.com but apparently its been out of stock.

Hi,

I know this is late and I apologize for sounding like a complete noob, but does anyone know why Amazon.co.jp refuses to ship to addresses in Illinois? (I've tried my dorm address in Champaign and my home address in Darien, a suburb of Chicago). This only applies to the first OST sheet music book. The second one seems to order fine.

Thanks:)

Hi, I'm new here, so if I make any mistakes, please tell me! :)

Umm...I've heard of the Tsubasa Chronicle Piano Solo Album books 1 & 2...and I have the first book already. I can't purchase the second book online and I can't find it anywhere, though, and I really really want the second book....

Does anyone here have it? And I was hoping that maybe I could PM someone for the book...'cos I really really want it...

I hope I'm not too much of a trouble to anyone...:)

Thanks.

Hmm....I wonder if there's any possibility to have the sheet music for Break The Sword Of Justice for a full orchestra...I told my orchestra teacher about it, he heard the song and said that it would be great if we played it. I just need to know where to find it...=/

Tsubasa has a lot of AMAZING music thanks to Yuki Kajiura. As for the book I believe someone posted a long time ago that it is purely piano sheets. I lucked out and found a whole stash of scanned sheets from the book while searching on Google. I downloaded them immediately but I'm not sure if I can find it again D: I'm new here and I still don't know how to attach files or whatever...so here's a list of the music in the book so that people don't have to keep asking if -insert song title- is already transcribed or not.

1. Ship of Fools 2. Believe 3. Black Sword 4. Strange Games 5. Breaking the Sword of Justice 6. You are my love 7. Dewdrops 8. Tsubasa (Yume no Tsubasa) 9. A Tiny Sunshine 10. Through the Gate 11. Hear Our Prayer 12. I Talk to the Rain 13. Guess how much I love you 14. Ruthless 15. Morning Moon 16. Witch 17. Best Years in Our Lives 18. A Song of Storm and Fire 19. Blaze 20. Loop

As of now I have only tackled A Song of Storm and Fire, I Talk to the Rain, and Hear Our Prayer. For me, these songs took a considerable amount of practice to master (like any normal song), but no they are not difficult to read. In the case of A Song of Storm and Fire the left hand is mainly hitting the same note 8x in each measure. I have yet to try Breaking the Sword of Justice. If you search Youtube videos, Darshada is the only one who manages to pull this song off...and it doesn't look easy!

Anyways until I figure out how to link some sheets, I hope this helped you!

Edit: I realize that my list is incomplete since there is a second book, but if the song you want is one of the 20 that I listed then keep searching. You'll definitely find them =)
