What are your thoughts about hollywood turning this classic C.S. Lewis series into a movie?

the upcoming movie, "The lion, the witch, and the wardrobe" looks pretty good.

..nostly because i saw minotaurs. XD

I never got hooked into the books, maybe because the only copy I could find was an old one smashed into a 4 inch by 4 inch book.

But the movie looks good, even great. The graphics are lookie nice and the actors dont have that cheesy sound when saying the lines (children usualy get a monotone - cheesy sound when in movies *cough* dakota fanning *cough*)

I just hope they dodn't mess up the series but so far it looks like it will be pretty good. Hopefully it will be A LOT better than the old movie. The lion was a stuffed animal and the magical creatures were drawing. Geez! Pic one! Real life or cartoons! Thank you for reading my rant!

Its been forever since I've read The Loin the Witch and the Wardrobe. I should read it again along with all the other books by C.S. Lewis.

I am real anxious to see the movie.

I'm really looking forwards to this. I grew up on Tolkien and Lewis XD

From the previews it doesn't seem to be Potter-ized, which is a very, VERY good thing.

From the trailers, the movie looks more like Lord of the Rings then Harry Potter. The graphics are more serious and advance then Harry Potter and the music from what ive already heard is alot better.

It was pretty good. They kinda shove the religious undertones in your face, though, and at some points it seemed rather uneven. On the whole, though, I liked it.

It looks pretty good from the trailers. But I refuse to go and endure a French dub >_<

The books are wonderful, although after a while the religious aspect begins to get tiresome. Not that I'm against religion, but I enjoy the subtle message of Lion Witch and Wardrobe much more than the "I smack you across the face with my cross!" attitude of some of the later ones. Like the end of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, which is actually my favorite at this moment.

Liam Neeson... is the PERFECT Aslan. I was so happy when I read that he was going to be in Narnia. And... whoever the composer is, I worship them. I don't think it's Howard Shore... it's definitely not John Williams. I'll have to look that up.

I went to go see it at 2:30 the Friday it came out. Me and several of my friends walked down to the Neonopolis theater, which in retrospect was REALLY dumb, (It being downtown Las Vegas and my friends being two other girls almost as small and portable as myself. Plus, by the time the movie got out it was almost dark, and we had a mile to walk back to school and my car.) and we beat the crowd.

I went and watched it a few days ago. Not many disappointments, and I think the White Witch looked perfect.

Some parts seemed pretty crack-headed, though...

I did find him. I was surprised, actually, since he's done music for random video games, and movies like "Shrek 2" and a few odd movies like that. Very unusual resume, I must admit.

My friends and I enjoyed this movie! Pretty true to the book, and I felt emotionally attached to the characters.

I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, although from what I hear you will catch on to who has read the book by the people laughing during the movie. A number of inside jokes. It looks good but I don't wanna get my hopes up and see the movie only to be crushed...

I think I finished the whole series when I was 8, I basically finished the whole children's section when I was 9 so it's been a while. I went to watch the movie with my best friend last Tuesday it was... It was alot better than Chicken Little except my for the fact that I told my friend that I've read the whole series (she never read it before) so near the parts with lost of suspicion she'd ask " whats gonna happen!? "
and when it'd SEEM I was wrong she called me a liar making the movie a very anxious situation... mostly because it's been around 5 years and pulling things back from memory was hard and was never 100% sure if I remebered it right~
But all in all it was great, lots of supicion, pretty good war scenes that get strait to the point unlike LOR. So watch it~
