Okay.... this is my first one so go easy on me. It isn't finished and I'm not quite sure why it won't let me switch it into a .mid file so I'm giving it to you in a .mus file. It isn't complete but I want to know if I'm doing anything wrong.

edit: Just another reason that is sucks, you'd have to have 3 hands to play it ^_^.

I'm really sorry, but this composition just seemed like forced randomness to me. :|

For those without FINALE, they can listen to the MIDI attached below. ^_^

EDIT ~ I just realized that I made spelling errors. >_>;

Yup, too random. No structure... at all. :\

sorry mate but I think this is rubbish...
no structure at all, it seems you had no idea of what you were doing.
dont put notes out on random, try making a very simple melody at first, like "twinkle twinkle little star" or something like that then start building chords and find something that fits your idea.

the main thing is keep it simple for now.

hope I didīnt discurage you to much... remember genius dont come over night! best regards / the fool who thinks he knows it all...

Lol.... kind of like a improvation of someone playing, just trying to put random chords in their music.. cept.. i dont use a lot of chords.. closest thing i use are just octaves... anyway, off topic.. i think the song name describes what the song is, Never there. keep trying ..

This sounds like a recording of someone playing random notes on a keyboard. Or it sounded you punched in whatever random notes you felt like in Finale.

um..haha.... this is funny. k, yeah, randomness... however, there is such genre of music... however, i'm not too good at trying to analyze random pieces of music such as this... so good job on your first piece!

Do you have split personalities? If you tell someone to keep trying, that means you are supporting them. But when you come out of the blue and say something like: "This shit is useless," is extremely rude, uncalled for and if anything discourages the composer from continuing to improve at all.

The reason I'm not PMing this is because not only you should know, but everyone else.

There's a difference between advice (or criticism) and mocking someone in the opening.

Yeah... that was definitely a little harsh on your part, Maestro~, but I was a little harsh myself. I'm terribly sorry if I discouraged you, khse. Just keep on trying and you'll definitely make something great in the future. I recommend going to the Music Theory and Composition Tutorial thread. It gives you a lot of of insight on what's what and some very nicely done walkthroughs on composing.

Yes. . . I will try to improv on my attitude twoards peoples compositions. I do have split personalities- one moment I'm generous and uplifting, the next my "twistedness" will come out from inside of me, and slab down a strong opinion.

That's kinda rude, and Metallica's songs are at least a million times better than yours. :\

Then don't post when that comes around.
