Ico is brilliant.
Ico is simplistic.
Ico is challenging.
Ico is innovative.

Ico has been looked over.

This magnificent game has made my expectations for platformers skyrocket. From the beautiful scenery to the gripping storyline, this game has it all. It may be a bit difficult for some... but nevertheless it is a game to pick up. This game got absolutely no publicity, no hype, and it was overlooked by so many that would have loved to have it in their collection of games. Bring this game back to fruition in its re-release soon!

I love ICO. I rented it for a day, and spent all night completing it, and trying to complete it again...

Its getting a PAL re-release! I can't wait. I'll finally be able to buy a copy!

Actualy, ICO isnt underated. Its voted to be one of the "100 games everyone should have" by the population.

How come I've never heard of it?
What magazine or company or whatever organised that poll?

It is one of the most underated games, even though its still a must have. Not enough people realise its amazing worth.

Its a PS2 game released a few years back (mabye around 2001-2003, somewhere around there) and was pretty early on in the game market. It's movie demo got released with the PS2 on the demo disk for many years, and thats what made me go and find a copy (and also find a copy of Dark Cloud :D )

Whether or not you have heard of it, you should check it out, hire it, buy it, whatever. Just play it!

It was Playstations official magazine.

But the press and the public often don't agree. The press considered ICO a great game, but the big masses just didn't pick it up.

True. But dont we all think ICO was a great game? I can never find a copy of the game that isnt well used or very expensive, but from what I have played its great, one of the PS2's best.

I have it, but I just couldn't beat it. Something about it... I didn't really feel like continuing on. I think I should go back and try it again, perhaps.

Its a game that you really don't want to end really...

But odds are you got fed up with the lack of save points and just said screw it... :heh:

I got my version of ICO for 9 dollars...

And it should definatly be on the top five PS2 games list without a doubt! (Don't flame me if it already is... I don't read much...)

Top five of the underdogs actualy...Hey look, it is

4. Ico (PlayStation 2)
Created by Fumuto Ueda, Ico tells the story of a young horned boy (Ico) who must help a young princess escape a castle overpopulated by creepy shadows and dangerous environmental traps. The game is a puzzler at heart, and has an atmosphere like no other. Despite critical reviews, the game has only sold around 650,000 units – a marginal number by today’s standards.

Fortunately, there is justice in the world – Ueda’s latest epic, Shadow of the Colossus, has been a success, both critically (we loved it) and financially. The game, while not directly related to Ico, definitely shares in the same style, as well as including many references and allusions to the world of Ico. This February, Sony plans to re-release Ico in Europe, as copies of the game are currently going for over $100 US on eBay.
