OK. Noir7 asked someone to make a poll, so I guess I'm the first and only taker. ^^; Our three Compositions this month are:

"Crossing the Mountain" (http://forums.ichigos.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=856&d=1133052008) ~ Silver Wyvern and aoiryuukishi13
"Trembling Fury" (http://forums.ichigos.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=595&d=1128059863) ~ yellowmonkey121 and DanielJackson
"Impressions" (http://forums.ichigos.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=871&d=1133152275) ~ Shizeet and Thorn

You can click on the hyperlinks to listen to their compositions, and vote for the one you like best. You can comment on who you voted for and why, but please try not to clutter up the topic too much.

EDIT ~ Found out the name for yellowmonkey's and Daniel's composition, so the poll and link has been changed accordingly (And a shout-out to Noir7 for fixing the poll). ^^;

No; thank you! ^_^

Anyway... I voted for "Impressions" because it's more of the style I like-- not that I don't like the others (the others are great), but this one was my favorite because it embraces many of the things shown in the post-romantic and early jazz periods.

I chose "Impressions" due to its ingenuity and skill. "Trembling Fury" was more suited for my taste, but it was too repetitious for me, otherwise I would have voted for it instead. But anyways, good job everyone!

My Choice - "Trembling Fury"

The song--due to my disliking to many modern styles of composing--"Trembling Fury" seemed to be the best, in structure and creativity. The other two had some melody, but they did not have very good transitions. In this, I lisened closely for repeats than would sound odd, fortunately, I did not hear any mistake. It seemed to be put all together. The structure, and switching instrument melodies made the puzzle be found in an instant.

Still, I award the other songwriters for a great try on doing this.

I chose Trembling Fury because I like how it sounded creative to me and I love the way they charged up the song with some energy.

Ka-Pow! ;)

I chose Impressions because of its departure from the regular. It's a very refreshing, yet eerie peice. The interesting juxtaposition of such strange notes.. the creative orchestration.. the subtle repetition of small cells..

Well, I liked it. I liked the other two as well, but this one was oddly different, yet strangely fascinating.

I voted "Tremblig Fury" just because it was the most complete piece of the three... shure I liked bits and pieces from "impressions" as well but overall "Trembling Fury" was the best.

"Trembling Fury" I think it had the best use of instruments.

Crossing the Mountain

This song was good, but it got sort of boring after awhile. It sounded good for background music of quiet snowy mountain in some kind of game.

Trembling Fury

This song was very well done! I like it a lot, especially the instrumentation. It sounds like an AWESOME battle theme for a game. I think I also must vote for this song.

Impressions

This song was definitely interesting and new. I liked it, although some of the chords throughout seemed too random, though somehow never out of place...hard to explain. I like some of the instumentation on it also.

Wow! My first music award. I would like to thank danieljackson who helped out a lot with the piece. The only reason why I started composing is the ichigos site which I came across around a year and half ago and I like to thank the website host for creating such thing. I also like to thank the members of the ichigos who inspired me to compose music. Thank you everyone for your support and I'm sure danieljackson will like to thank everyone as well.
