I'm too poor to pay $600 for Phtotshop.And I know you can download it for free, but i know you can't say so don't. I just want to know what program is just as good as Photoshop. (Maybe even free:) )

GIMP is just as good as photoshop if you ask me, and is free via download (perfectly legal too, so no worries). :)

I recomend, Pixia or GIMP, for freeware. Both have their ups and downs.

If you can afford it, PhotoImpression or Paint Shop Pro (recommened) are pretty good. :)


EDIT: If you can find it, you could always buy a lower version of Photoshop, not sure if you cna find them, nor do I know the prices. =/

Photoshop Elements is a toned down version of PS, it comes with stuff like digital cameras and scanners. I'd try GIMP or another free program before spending money though, you have nothing to lose after all.

Why encourage people to download illegal software if there's free and legal software too?

The only reason why I'm using PS and not Gimp is because I'm used to PS, not because I think it's better.

That's more for web design, though. But it works well as a substitute for Photoshop.

Now that I think about it... I think you should just go with GIMP...
