Well... it's all I've got... enjoy it (The original name was "Crap in A Major", but I found out that wasn't a crap in A Major; it's in A and B Major)

Hmm, interesting. Well, it's certainly better than my first composition. However, there are a lot of places where things don't sound as good as they could, if you ask me. There a few rather abrupt parts, like where you introduce the 16th notes and the sudden modulation to B major that are a bit jarring.
I'm no expert, but I was under the impression that you are supposed to prepare a modulation using pivot chords and the like. At least, that's what I've always read on the issue of modulation. I'm also told that you're generally supposed to return to the original key by the end of the piece, though that's more of an older convention.

Ahh! Nice little work you have there. Seemed kind of Mozartish.. just like it's title, Simplicity.
True, some of the left hand notes didn't seem to preety, but they came out well. I liked how you stuck true the the song root of having a phrase ending with a rest or long'er note.
O.K. Job !

Yeh, it's a pretty nice attempt for an early composition. I think this piece's title can attest to why it stands a cut above the rest; you didn't try to bite of more than you chew, instead choose carefully to start small. With that said though, there's still room for improvement, mainly the piece's development. While I did how you've decided to do variations on the first theme, it might have been more appropriate to apply them after introducing a second theme to round it off (ie, ABA, or ABA' in structure, or even ABA'B'A if you wanted to do some variations on the second theme, too). Another issue is that some of the chord voicings were a bit off (compared to convention); it wasn't too much of a bother until the piece hit ms. 41, when you've added another voice into the left hand and a lot of unfitting parallelism ensued. So with that in mind, you might want to look into some basic music theory (ie, check out the sticky) to help develop both your knowledge and intuition ("written" and "aural" theory, respectively).

Here I've got a more complex work. I tried now with classical... (I said it before and I say it again) Enjoy it!
It's mainly in Gm

This song would probably be really good if there were some dynamics and some tempo variations. I like the melody.

Well done! I liked this song. I was appealed to the little dance in the lower pitch of the melody. It gave it some movement to the piece, and well as the higher pitch with some melody.
Nice job !!

This is good for an early piece. You at least have some senes of form, which is better than 90% of the composers on this forum.
I would recommend letting the "um-pa" drop from the left hand occasionally. The key changes go a long way for giving it variation, but it does get to sounding a little monotone. The same could be applied to all the parts. The fun thing about a canon is that we get to hear all the voices step into the spotlight, step out and play around with each other.

When I hear CanonG, I remember L'Arlesiene Suite - Georges Bizet... iit's a march, with a counterpoint, a cannon and... it changes from Gm to G.
BTW here's an actualization of Simlpicity...

I didn't like the ending of your phrases, it sounded too 'amateurish' and too complete. It also felt too empty and spaced out as if the bass and top part were playing two things, and the phrases just rambled on without flowing into each other. The piano was also too loud and there were no dynamic or articulation variations. Sorry, it didn't quite interest me. Better luck next time. ;)

This sounds like something that would be in a grade 3~4 study book. I can picture these little kids going up on stage all nervous and playing this piece hahaha!
I meant that in a good way.

The bass didn't really harmonize correctly with the bass and it sounded very awkward at times. But it got much better towards the end (excluding the ending). I liked it.
Keep it up.

Somehow I overlooked that one. I'll check it out right now.
*Listens to it*
Oh my goodness! This is THE song! lol. WOW, I'm totally picturing this as a rock song. Gimme a few minutes and I'll transform it. XD
Edit: Done! Well, sort of... Lol. This is one of the worst rock renditions of a song I've ever done:lol:. Keep in mind it's just for kicks, and I put little to no effort at all into this. It really is bad, but just for fun. Don'tcha love bordom? Half the notes don't even match the guitar I added, lol. Oh, and I didn't do the whole thing, so don't mind the horrendous random key bashing ending.

Well... hmmm... I wouldn't say it sucks, but... let me think... it's just... well... would you try to make it again? I liked it... but the bass just doesn't match. I've tried to play it on piano, and it almost works. If you wanna make it again, please make the bass for a bass, the chords and the cannon... try to make it sound good.
I liked the drums, and I liked everything until the Gm to G change... I'm asking it 'cause I know it can become a great piece

Looooong time I haven't made something. Sorry for the double post (¿?) but I finally finished something. I started it when I saw Elfen Lied's final:
It made me feel strange and I just made the melody, then I made left hand and it was finished... The title sounds a little weird (really weird), but that's what I felt when I composed it. It's short, but I like it

I think its too repetative in the left hand. Try mixing the rhythm up or make the left hand go double time or something. It's a simple melody for the righthand, which is good. I think this song still have places to explorer. Maybe do a quick analysis of your that melody and try to come up with different variations. When you do that, the harmony will change naturally and your song will lose its repetativeness.

I composed it in just one day, I'm full of crap in my computer, lots and lots of musical crap (my compzx), I needed to make something quick, because I have about 5 incomplete compzx in my PC and about 3 in my mind. I'm really scatterbrained, so I can't remember so much... It's almost summer break in the South Hemisphere. I guess I'm gonna make more for next week... or next two weeks, when this thread was in the second Page

last week I promised to make more music... (last week^37)
And here it is! It's the quickest song I've ever done (2,5 hrs).
I'm not a very good composer... let's see if I can be a songwriter; I used Guitar Pro.
It's Country adapted to Visual Kei... And it's just the intro

Add some articulations here and there (staccato?)... and it sounds more suitable for "background" music.

I would assume that when you make it longer, you'll add a melody and such. However, it's definitely off to a great start!

Why did I suddenly start composing rock? Nobody knows
Riff culeco means something like... "Stupid Riff". The point it's a riff.
Hope you like it!
A question for everyone...
Would it be right if I post something I've composed with some help? or sthg I co-wrote?

The riff its just ok there is nothing else to say for me, since its just a little section and not a full work, you can use it for a song or instrumental rock or any other thing for incorporating it.
I guess that is ok of post something you co-wrote, just letting the other person know you are posting it and telling what precisely you did in the work and how much you did.
Wow its 6:24am College time for me.

I liked the simplicity of The Calm After Life-
yeeha! was hillarious and can see that being used in a minigame where you have to race against the clock.
I think you should develope the riff it was kind of cool...
