I want to know how to write, read, and speak Japanese. And wanted to know if you guys/gals know any good softwears or language CD's that could help me.

^It's not all the effective, really. I learned much more from reading a book that cost half the price. But it does introduce to you the basics.

I definately know there was a thread like this someplace else! But I'm too lazy to find the link.

The only way to learn a language properly is through real lessons and being confronted with the language all the time. Self study won't teach you the language properly, at least not the speaking bit.

But since we have enough topics like this one, I'll close this.
