Not sure if this counts as a composition, more like a transcription ^^. Anyways, since everyone decided to play To Zanarkand from FFX, I've decided to instead transcribe the battle theme for piano.

This is the first draft. It's a bit clunky, and I need major help. xD Help me out if possible, and thanks in advance!

(By help I mean how in the world are people going to be able to play this piece. It's... difficult... lol)

This is a good arrangement (which was the word you were looking for when you said "transcription"). Very good. You got everything practically identical to the actual piece. If that's what you intended, then that's a good thing, because it shows your arranging skills, getting down every last little detail that was in the original.

But, I don't get exactly what you're asking for. Are you asking for help on making the arrangement easier to play? If that's what you're asking, instead of doing the bass verbatim (which is constantly moving in this piece), you can just do block chords (like you did in the first five seconds). Figure out what chord is playing when, and then have the chord repeat as long as you can, until the next chord, and etc. There are other things you can do to simplify the piece, too, but this is just the most basic I can think of.

If you're asking on help on how to play the piece better, though, then I don't think this is the correct forum. = \ All I can say is practice, practice, practice. (That is, unless, the piano transcription of this piece has impossible-to-play parts, in which case the only thing that'll help you is a prayer for extra fingers. =P)

Hope I helped. ^_^

What I meant was um, in some of the bars, there should be a counter melody there too, but if I add it, it'll be impossible to play (seriously,...)... and thus the counter melody was not included.

If it sounds fine as it is, then, thanks ^^ lol. It's just bugging me there's some parts that aren't in that arrangement =(

By the way, thanks for the help ;)

An easy solution would be to just compose the arrangement for two pianos. ^_^

That is, unless you wanna go through the hassle of altering the pitch of the counter melody or simplifying the counter melody to make its execution possible. But, unless you're a bigot for having this on a single piano, I wouldn't recommend that. ^_^;;

So, yeah. My solution is to just compose it for two pianos. It's not like it's something that hasn't been done before. In FFX-2, "The Calm Lands" was composed for two pianos. And, THAT'S hard to play. x_x

Hope I helped, again. ^_^
