Hey guys. I'm one of the best "gamers" our there on two games, and the other two are kind of play-play games.

Tony Hawk's Proskater/Undergound/American Wasteland - 14th Best in the world. Around 200,000 Play

Wolfenstien: Enemy Territory - 200th (Around 200) In the world. Over 5,000,000 (Yes, of 5 Million...)

Socom III: US Navy Seals - "Play-Play"

Guild Wars - "Play-Play"

Anyway, tell what games that you are "extremely" skilled at, or are just obsessed with. It'd be cool if you gave exact details on it. Heh.

Anyway, I hope this topic was not made before. I don't think I saw one!!

Wow, someone likes to brag. Any screen shots to prove it? Or any links that are official?

Oh, really? To bad :P

Starting your post with "I'm one of the best gamers out there" made me grow hate towards you.

I am not the "best" in any game, but I am quite good in many games if I palyed in a while.

Seems like you people don't have much self-sonfidence. I can see it through you.

I am not bragging, I am simply stating the facts.

No, with the Tony Hawk, I cannont back up the links for this, because the tournament has ended, and closed this. Though, the tournament was,

Tourney for The Homies: 3

It mainly shows the best of the best of the game, and crowns the best player. I was 14th, not first. However, I may not always be the 14th best, since these were places in the competition. This was stated of how good the people were in the game. As in, the 1st, the 4th, the 42nd, etc.

For the Wolfenstien: Enemy Territory, I cannont be an exact 200, or anything always around it. It keeps changing daily, hourly, minuetly, secondly, and so on. Since I do not play with that username anymore (Shugo!!) It should have obviously gone done by now. Although, my new name, {MwK}Mazeppa would be the more updated one.

I am sorry as you seem I am a fake, bragging, fuck. Though, I have the facts and true stories on it.

I have the fact that I flew to mars and back in time to catch the 3 AM bus to the moon, but who cares?!

Oh, to bad. I lost the ticket stubb ._. I cant prove it now.

~

Okay, I can see that there has to be a person in that catagory with that skills, but come on! All those games and nothing to back it up.

When I first looked at the title, I was thinking "A thread for someone that makes a living off of VG Tournies" because that's what a professional gamer is, but I was wrong.

Wow I wish I was as go-... Oh wait... I don't play for ranks or prestige. I play games for fun.

I play the Megaman series and constantly revise my runs to cut time, but the pros at the SDA are like teh cutting edge and I am like teh dullard in comparison.

On the other hand, I happened upon the (ex)RA2 Westwood Official Reigning Champion before they took down the ladder and everyone decided that RA2 had became shit. The saying is true: You don't believe it 'til you see it with your own two eyes, and Mess with the best, Die like the rest.

Fucking hell. I bet that the programmers didn't know that their games could be played like that.

(there are a few people, but I'm too lazy to look up the links)

I'm good at Dating Sims. *dum dum dum*

On a realisic scale I completely pwned Gunstar Heros for the Genisis back when that was big (Lazer+Tracer ALL THE WAY! WHOO~). I was also pretty good at Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (I beat the game, which is saying something).

I was undefeated for 5 1/2 hours at the arcade in the game Virtural On.

That's about all that I can do in video games.

I'm tied with the #1 highest chain in Tetris Attack. 23.

I'm friggin obsessed with the game! I'll try to prove it. When I reach the score again. I'll take a picture. Unfortunately when I got the score the game was rented...<_<

I think someone pulled a 24 chain in time trial.
I had 43 in a versus battle...my time trial record sucks though :P
My PPL scores are way too low to get on any world record books, but they're decent for someone who's only a very casual gamer :P

I love DDR/ITG, though I'm not good enough to compete or anything (I did finally get a AA on So Deep 2x Hidden Dark though...I was happy :D Then I tried to do it in an arcade and fell off the pad :P Why on earth are those metal pads so high up off the ground? Maybe it was just that arcade...) My ranking on FFR used to be decent, but then I stopped playing because I have a bad keyboard...

My "claim to fame": USACO March 2005: 8th highest score in the nation (too bad the one that counts is the one in April, and I was like 30th...)
And as for gaming: I made my own game, so in that case I can be the best at it :P *points to siggy*

On Beginner?

By the way, I don't make a living off anything. I don't get money for winning in any tournaments (Only if you were in the top 3, then you would have recived "reallife" prizes).

And no, it's not what I do all day, or what runs my life. I have been playing the Tony Hawk games since the demo of THPS1 came out. Which was 1999. I think I have been playing long enough to know it doesn't take playing for hourns in two months, then you own at it. No. This game isn't like that.

With Wolfenstien, if you pay attention, probably in four-five months you can get into about the top 400-200. Now, I have been playing since it came out, but I wasn't really "into" it a lot. Long breaks here and there. Would play it non-stop for one weeked, then never see it for like four months... etc.

Anyway, this was not meant for bragging rights, or for and status on who the fuck you are. Which I'm kind of thinking, that's what you're making it now...

And yes, I DO get fun out of the games. Just, when I get good enough I enter tournaments or look up my stats....

Dark Bring

You should be able to get 7 seconds on Beginner, with a bit of luck.

Google "minesweeper tips"; that should help you with your game. Failing that, keep playing Intermediate. It took me quite awhile to beat my first Expert game, and boy, was it worth it.

I can't get below 9 :P World record is 2, I think...but that takes an insane amount of luck, and I have better things to do with my time :P

2 seconds? that's impossible, they must be changing something, i saw my friend did it once, he changed the amount of mines and got a world record of 1 second @_@, but that's cheating though

tanonev
January 16th, 2006, 05:48 am
There are some people with a LOT of time on their hands. Theoretically, if all 10 mines were in the very corner, a single click in the middle would reveal everything and you'd win in 1 second. I believe the 2 second one revealed everything except 1 square.

Speaking of cheating, there's supposed to be a way to stop the timer and continue playing, though I can't remember how it goes :P
