Homework: The act of taking a type of problem that needs to be solved with you to a different location. The basic premace of homework is formulation by practice and repetition. While in high school, the general theme of homework is learning how exactly you learn. While in college it is more focused on learning how to do research or problem solve without someone directing you as to where to go.

Yeah, a dictionary would have given a definition that's more concise and less informative. Just because he sounds/is smart, doesn't always mean that he used an outside source, haha.

Homework teaches you what they don't teach in class (or have not taught very well).

I thought it was for revising what you got taught in class.

homework is for people to copy. darn lazy classmates of mine!!! i dont copy ofcourse

homework= for you to learn on your own; basically doing the teacher's job for them. but there again its a good thing unless you want to spend extra time in school, because if there was no homework, teachers would have double the stuff to get through in the same time.. meaning if homework didnt exist, we could have to spend (in the UK anyway) 10 years at high school rather than 5- and im sure several people would rather die than have to suffer this

Homework is a type of exercise, as we all know it doesn't truly benefit us to exercise only at school. In order that our minds be at their pinnacles we need to excercise at home as well as at school.

Homework teaches you how to copy other people work intelligently. It trains you to be treacherous and successful in your future career. Muhahhaha.

Gee, that's not a great attitude, you're supposed to copy people's tests, they're the ones that matter.

Or they were given a lot of homework as children. Despite swearing never to do it themselves, they succumbed and find joy in every child's grimace at the mention of the nasty stuff.

Nah, homework's important really. I just procastinate. I always copy other peoples' work and normally do it in the lunch hour just before the lesson. Sometimes in another lesson if I'm strapped for time (ie. spent all lunch hour doing more interesting things).

The homework that teachers give us doesn't really do much. Not many people actually take the time to do it and all it does is make it look like children have too much homework.

homework lets you know if you learned the lesson or not and reminds you to study your lessons ^^

Homework is the stuff teachers throw at you, it is good and bad to some people! The people who don't do it, fail tests and barely pay attention in class SUFFER! As the people who pay attention benefit and do the homework get enough points to skip finals XD Yep..Skipped English and Math finals! and STILL got the A! what a nerd i am....:heh:

Homework is something that wrecks your breaks

- my math teacher handed me a 109 question homework which is due on monday....
- my english teacher gave a project with is due on monday
- my science teacher told me I had to do a heart diagram (easy!) due on monday

and I had a day off on yesterday T_T

Homework....some ppl do it some ppl dont. Its just an excuse to not do something else you would rather do.

Even thou, I got mounds of homework too...I kind of enjoyed it.

One day in class the teacher was asking us questions.
(and she thought that I was dumb just because I talk alot in class.)
She finally ask me a question and keep this in mind it has been more than half
way through my 8th grade year. She heard me talkin and said you think you
