Who, in this forum, has ever played Samurai Warrior? It's on Xbox. Do you like/love/hate it? Seriously, it's a pretty cool game.

Well it's supposed to be based on that game I think. There are a couple of differences though. Of course the story and characters are different. Another difference is that when you make an officer, in Samurai Warrior there are only certain costumes. I think there are four girls in the New Officer Mode in Samurai Warrior and there are only 2 costumes. I never played Dynasty Warriors so I don't know that many differences and similarities within the two games.

Give me a hack n' slash where I can toss legions of troops around like rag dolls and garuanteed I will play it.

I have the game. It's not bad. Gets kinda old after a while going through the same castle crawls and stuff if you're not playing with a friend.

Yeah, I always get bored with games if I'm the only one playing it. That's why I always play the game with my brother.

hmm, i never played a DW game all the way through (only at friends houses) but in samurai, u get swamped a LOT. I think Ranmaru was his name, but it gets a little ridiculous in some of his missions. Stupid Nobunaga kept dieing instead of retreating to the exit like he's supposed to.

Yeah, i got this game. It's not as good as Dynasty Warriors though. This is pretty much the same as DW except it's set in Japan. I like it how you can spend you exp on extra moves etc, that's really nice. The characters in this game aren't as interesting as the one's in DW, perhaps it's because I'm too used to playing DW.

EDITThe game really doesn't explain to you that much of what happened back then during the war, it feels rushed.

Ranmaru was a guy in DW?! Ranmaru is a girl is SW. Nobunaga kept dying at Betrayal at Honnouji in SW. It's so damn annoying. We had to do that more than ten times before we got that stage finished.

I like the new officers. Especially Chizu or at least that's her starting name. She can beat Nobunaga anytime she wants. :P

Ranmaru was not a girl he just looked like it in the game, he was acctully the son of an officer that had been with Nobunaga from the beginning.
Samurai Warriors is a great game tho but i find DW to be better

I've got Samurai Warriors for the PS2 since most of the expansions never come out for the Xbox.

And yes, I also thought Ranmaru Mori was a girl :D He was the son of Yoshinari Mori.

Eheheh...I like this game for...Magoichi Saika XD.
It's funny, I didn't want to play DW3 because it was so violent, and then Magoichi comes in SW, and I think he's just hot! ^^; So I like to play him a lot. And Kunoichi, because of the double jumping and Okuni for the umbrella-ness!

hahahah, I had good times with this game....me and my lil sis, we played as the "Ninja Siblings" as she called it... She played as Kunoichi while I played as Hattori Hanzo. All the double jumping awesome-ness, as well as the double "musou" unison attacks that we have developed. Sometimes I played as Mitsuhide Sanada, which reminded me of Samanosuke of the Onimusha games.



My team, consisting of my brother and I, play as Yukimura Sanada and Date Masamune...good times...all those combos! We actually try to gather all of the enemies on the map as we can, then let them all fly! Dual Swords and Lances make a great combo team, we got as much as 423 enemies killed in one combo

My sis' favourite of course, is the little princess with the kendama! Oichi, she always beats me in the vs modes, that's when of course I beat HER when I use the cheap but effective Magoichi Saiga, nothing says "PWNED" than a carcass filled with lead....right? I shoot her down horses and own her while she's down...AHAHAHAHAH

I love this game. Well, anything like Samurai Warriors, Dynasty Warriors or Kessen I think are some of the funnest games around.

well the best record I've ever gotten was 2,018...I was using my created character and my sister was using Oichi.

Oh, funny thing: I printed out this picture of Mr. Girly Man himself (aka Ranmaru Mori) last year and I showed it to these guys in my history class.
They're all like: "That's a girl, right?"

yea....Ranmaru loks like a girl....but it never fooled me! I knew the name Ranmaru Mori from several Japanese history things. He was a male. My siblings all thought that he was a girl. He's pretty good with a nodachi(for those of you who don't know...think Sephiroth's Masamune) though.

And yes, I meant Yukimura Sanada, at first I thought that it was Mitsuhide Akechi because of the name similarity

Yeah, playing SW. I pwned with Mistuhide(sp?) Lets just say that Tom Cruise isn't the only white Samurai :shifty:

I've got a couple more days to play the game before its due. It makes me sad that I can't find more than about fifty guys around me to kill.
