Alright! Let's just make this, since it is Febuary and Valentines Day is coming up, themed about love. That is the only requirement. It can be any type of peotry. Um...Let's make it due the 20th so we can get the votes in by the end of the month. Alright then! Start sending in those poems. If necesarry there will be a preliminary (sp?) round. There is limit of 2 entrees and just post it up when your ready.

The Forbidden Thirst

Oh! Shall it be?

The truth shall ever hide in the face of future,
The dream yet to taste the fruit of youth.
The action repeats itself,
The waltz triples the fate.
The romance forbade, and
The lust shall be quenched.

An undying desire surges,
Feelings of remorse and greaf
Oceans the space;
A void that dreams full.
A cup of pure rapture.

Shall I take of the challase?
Do I step forward? Or
Do I cast my eyes down; standing
Still in a fractial of space.

The heart bursts. The frozen time
Fades in the night as the glimmer
Residue remains.


The Forbiden thirst calls,
And my body begs to answer.

When the sun shines,

Who is she?..

i love you, i love you with all my heart
even when we were only a province apart

then who is she?.. the one that's here to stay

Ridding the old and giving anew
My eyes are fixed on you
My love is burning

There are couples smiling everywhere...
I turn and look for you,
But everywhewre i turn,
I see that love is in the air.

It hurts me so much to say
I miss you everyday,
I know i'm supposed to be strong
But how can i?
When love is in the air?

I turn, I look around for you
I search every corner through
Yet i know that you will never come
Back from being the chosen one...
yet still... love is in the air

It hurts me to think that you died out there,
All alone in that monster's lair
It seems strange that i use 'monster' to describe war
But that's what was waiting outside our door

I feel that you are by my side
10 years now, and i must not cry
When I think of you
And I remember you
When love was in the air

Yet the cruel world spins
And the days still come
The moon still shines
And the stars still burn

It's all I can take.

I've had enough, can't take anymore.
you've treated me like shi/t.. each and every one of you
you'd put me down and leave me crying on the floor
but hearing your insults each and every day. do you listen to what you say?

with a dull knife, you stabbed into me.
into my heart.. that's right, you etched into my heart
with the dullest knife you can find, you carved into it,
things like i'm fat, i'm stupid, i'm shi/t... all scarred into me.

i'll never be what you all want me to be, will i?
so maybe... just maybe... that's just it... it's who i am.
and no one can change.. me. so please, let me go. and if you dont...
i'll do it myself, with the knife in my hand, i shall be free from you.

Sugar Tarts and Lemon Cream

Sugar tarts are yum yum,
Lemon cream on my bum bum,

When I spin around real fast,
I go down with a boom and crash,

And gone away went my lemon cream,
I miss you enough that I will go out to buy a container/mix of it more and repeat my 1-2 process of putting it on my body and spin SPIN.
