Anybody here collect vinyl tracks? I feel they've got a lot more personality than cds and mp3s
discuss.

Well, as I was growing up, all we had in my house were vinyl tracks and tape cassettes. I think we still have some vinyl ones lying around somewhere. Don't know if the machine for it works now.

I gave up my vinyl records shortly after hearing a CD at a record store demo. My only regret in having done so is that some of what I owned hasn't been reissued. (And most likely never will. :( ) As for "personality", you can keep your clicks, pops and scratches. I want to hear the music and *ONLY* the music.

It really depends on what music you're listening to. Electronica and classical whatever, yeah I agree it wouldn't be feasable to listen to on vinyl. I'm talking about Bob Dylan, Frank Zappa and the likes. Just gotta keep in mind that this is the original media they set the music out on to be. They made their music for vinyl.
Currently I have
Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan
Apostrophe by Frank Zappa
Revolver by the Beatles
Either/Or by Elliott Smith,
