Listen to my music and tell what you think! I didn't have time to make it perfect when i recorded it on my clavinova, so it's still a bit flawed, and also it has not an ending...yet, but try to ignore that. ;)

some nice unexpected twists and turns in the melody section and some nice chords. Now as I listen it grows on me... this song is actually quite enjoyable.

I happen to agree with One Winged on this one! I got kinda sick of the accomnpaniment doing the same thing over and over again, though.

It kinda sounds like you sort of improvised this on the spot, as you develop your melody quite a bit but with very little repetition, while the harmony and rhythms remain pretty static. It tends to happen to me too when I improvise, as it's hard for me, though mostly due to my limited technique. That said, I rather liked the melody - maybe you should extract parts of it and put it into a more formal composition.

You're quite right, much of it was something i just came up with as i sat at the piano, but the basic structure or "melody" was just something i got on my head and wanted to spell out on the piano. By the way, nice that you all like it...

Here's another, and again the pianoplaying is rather lousy-failing to give this piece the absolutely correct impression.

The first song was a little weak. It sounds pretty generic for an internet forum.

The second song had a GREAT opening up through about 0:24. Then it started to lose its character. The melody wasn't that bad, but the accompaniment got cheesy and unoriginal. It has a lot of potential if you keep working on it.

I quite enjoyed listening to the second song (a few uneven rhythms, but all in all I liked it).

Question: I see these are XG-files (Yamaha's midi-standard, as opposed to General midi; it has more instruments and sounds better, and will be transformed to GM, if you're soundcard is incapable of playing XG). The instruments are listed as "other".

How did you make these files?

About the files... I simply recorded the music on the clavinova and copied them on to my usb-memory stick->computer, and that's it!

How nice of you to recognice Sandro the skeleton hero from Heroes3, I'm a HUGE fan of the game myself!

You have a Yamaha-clavinova, then? (XG seems to suggest so...)

It's what I would buy, if I had the money.

Ooh, I like that game a lot. I haven't had computer without running HoMM3 for years! (Btw, All M&M games have such great soundtracks! HoMM3 is no exception.)
