I had a feeling that MS was going to jump into the handheld cult. Their handheld, currently known as the Origami Project, is big and bulky (HA! And we thought the DS was ugly).

To tell the truth, it looks more like a concept notebook. Its way to big and "ugly" for a handheld, but MS does say it is a dated concept.

I trying to think of it as a mini tablet notebook, but from what Ive been hearing, it is. Ive seen some pictures of it with the keyboard pulled back and people playing Halo on it too, so I dont know what to call it really.

*this on top of the "somthing" Apple is releaseing tomorow is making me want to dance!*

That site has competely different pictures. Also, who says it's a handheld that's supposed to be used for gaming? Look at the keyboard in your pic, no gaming handheld would have that. That makes no sense at all.

IGN has a article about it. Here is a link to it:Origami (http://gear.ign.com/articles/691/691935p1.html)

Seems like a mini notebook computer.

Inovation Angelic. Just because no other systems have keyboards (yes they do *cough PSP cough*) doesnt mean it cant be one. But it may have gaming as a main selling point for it, but I guess it isnt a gaming handheld *I just assumed it was going to be gaming because the first picture I saw of it was one of it without the keyboard and some shooter game (halo?)*

*wants one really bad*

PS2 has a keyboard as well.

It doesnt come with the PS2, however. Plus the notebook that you use for PS2 isn't exactly custom made either. I can just get any keyboard and use the usb to plug it into the accessory that changes it into a controller.

Why do that? PS2 has USB ports

If thats the case, then it makes things much easier then.

Did it ever occur to you that for every piece of hardware you need a driver though? Besides, different countries have different keyboard layouts, which has to be set in the software's settings. I never saw the PS2 having a keyboard configuration screen.

I think it's like the Dreamcast, which only has one keyboard with one layout. That's the only way it would work.

seems really usefull, but only for a few people. IMHO its a little weird, too big for your pocket and haand, but its meant to be a handheld COMPUTER not a gameboy so its ok... Touchscreen is good tho

This is definetly not a gaming hanheld. Maybe it could play pc games, but it won't have it's own platform. This is one of several Micro-tablet PC's, and there's already several on the market.

DS's and Wii's have keyboards that don't require buying extra stuff, but that's off-topic.
