Has anyone watched Fate/Stay Night yet? The series has just started, and it has become quite popular in Japan already. I like the series for its mysterious sense. The opening song is based from the visual novel of the series, and the ending was pretty good. It is not planned for release to the U.S. yet.

I'm currently looking into it. It sounds really good.

Been watching it from the beginning. Pretty good, though it seems to be lacking a certain unexplainable factor.

Wasn't this show based off of a H game? It is made by type MOON and all...

EDIT: gah. I looked back at my data folder of the game, and it turns out it is somewhat like a H type game after all. My apologies.

BTW M, what unexplainable factor are you talking about? maybe I can answer. (Put it in spoiler tags please)

I'm also watching it. So good so far, It has a pretty solid storyline and well designed characters, so it's being enjoyable for the time being.
I already knew it came from an Ecchi game, it's quite common in romance/shoujo anime's (my favourite genres), so I'm kinda used to it ^_^

My favourite character so far is Sasaki Kojiro, too cool.. =)

I was going to say that it is quite odd to have 50 doujin's out within the first 2 episdoes of the anime, and some of the wallpapers I found were *ermh*...

It's nothing secret enough for spoilers, really.

It's just slow at the time; so it seems a little boring to me. I'm sure it'll pickup a quite a bit after everything is explained about the Masters and Servants, but it's just a little boring right now.

Maybe it's just a prelude before moving on to the real confrontation for the holy grail. We're probably looking at a 24-26ep season here.

Of course that was a joke by mirror moon... I believe Type Moon kept their H content fairly tame, as far as I remember...

More like the Hentai content is out of place in every one of their stories (like the Tsukihime "dream spirit").

Unlimited Blade Works film has been subbed and out for a while now. Thoughts anyone?

I thought they did just about everything one could realistically hope for within a 90 minute film.

Once again late, but Fate/Zero is getting an anime adaptation (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2010-12-21/fate/zero-novel-gets-anime).
Very exciting news for a few of us.

I've been dreaming of that since the day they announced the Fate/Zero light novels.

I love this series, but it's definitely slow paced. It is based off H games, which I'm still working on getting through. Heres my 2 cents:

F/SN takes place over 15 of the longest days of Shirou's life, the 5th Holy Grail war, where he's always asking question's about the complicated matters he's been thrown into and barely sleeps at all. On top of that, he cares about a lot of the people involved, so he doesn't act rashly or rush into combat. If you think the anime is slow, don't bother with the game. There are 3 separate story lines, all equally (ridiculously) long and very interesting. The H scenes feel mostly out of place, and even kind of sad in the final story. The 1st and 2nd stories have been made into anime, the series being Fate and the movie being Unlimited Blade Works. Since Heaven's feel is the "true" story and the best, I'm sure it will be adapted soon. Mirror moon has made an english patch, and if you can get the PS 2 F/SN Realta Nua, you can add in the voices.

Fate/Hollow Ataraxia on the other hand, I have already finished 100%. It's a loop of 4 days wherein your actions change what you can do in the next 4 day loop, and you slowly progress towards the end all the while interacting with the Servants, Masters and supporting characters in enlightening, entertaining and sometimes educational conversations. Now when it comes to F/HA, none of the 3 F/SN story lines is the true prequel, but a 4th "perfect end" seems to be the outcome. Basically you have the bonuses of all 3 stories, without negatives like character deaths and awkward sexin'. I love the character depth and story in this installment. TLWiki is about halfway done translating this VN, with 1 or 2 bugs.

Fate Zero is the prologue, the story of Shirou's adoptive father, Kiritsugu, and the 4th Holy Grail War. Pretty interesting and enlightening, but a lengthy series of light novels. Baka Tsuki is translating it right now as thanks for the animu.

Agreed with M. type MOON needs to stop with the H scenes, they detract too much from their excellent stories.
