Well, although I am only 14, and now starting to compose (better) my band teacher recommends me to go to a College Summer class for Composition Theory or whatever.

When people talk about good Music Universities in the United States, they usually bring up the Juilliard School in New York City, New York, or the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. It's my personal aspiration to go to Juilliard, but the likelihood of that is very small; more realistically, OU is most likely going to be my future university.

Also, this is the wrong place for this topic... It should be in the Music Discussion forum (http://forums.ichigos.com/forumdisplay.php?f=13). >>;

University of Michigan is also good. Also, depending on what you want to do, Harvard is good. Yo-Yo Ma is one of their Alumni.

If only I could manage a 4.0 one of these days...I can't seem to get higher than 3.8, and it makes it hard for me if I want to get into a really good college...

Heh, I'm actually at UM right now, though in the College of Engineering - I'm looking to cross-transfer to the school of music and participate in the Performing Arts Technology program (specifically, the Sound Engineering one).
