I've started making so much medieval music that I've decided to make my own thread to accomodate it. :D In my previous music thread from now on I will be posting thematic and classical songs exclusively, but for this thread, I'll post just my medieval music. Rate the songs if you want, but comments are very appreciated! :D

I'll start off just by posting a few of my favorites so far:

NOTE: From now on I'll just put *'s next to the ones I like. Some aren't very good at all... :P

OTHER NOTE: If one of the MIDI's/MP3's cuts off abruptly and it sounds as if there is more left, please tell me. Sometimes Finale2004 doesn't save sound files properly...

I think that they are both good,but maybe you should add more instrument,but I'm not a pro so...very good work! :D

More instruments would probably increase the harmony of them, but I was trying to keep it in a strictly Medieval style - recorder quartet and sometimes tambourine/drum in the background. They didn't have many ensemble pieces for larger groups that 4 recorders back then... :) Maybe I'll see what I can do to add more instruments to one of them...

because it seems a little empty,like in king's court you could add those trumpets that they had in that time!

Here's another:

NOTE: I'm going to post mostly MIDIs now to save Gand some bandwidth and because it doesn't make too much of a difference.

*BUMP*

Would it be terribly uncreative to call some of these untitled songs (I'm up to 27) Consort - I (or whatever the roman numeral would be)? King Henry VIII did this. It's not like it's easy to name some of these... :P I mean, Bach didn't name every fugue of his something different. In fact... they were all just called Fuge. Lol!

Fugue*;

You can group the songs any way you want under an original category name. k for mozart and so forth, i am not sure what consort means in musical terminology but if it was henry's personal system then you should probably look for another name.

Actually, Fuge isn't a typo. It's the German spelling of Fugue. :)

A consort (in Henry's meaning) is just a piece for an ensemble of instruments, particularly instruments of the same musical family (IE woodwinds). So Consort would work out... :)

Cataloguing is another story... mine don't need catalog #'s yet... :)

Interesting fact, both Mozart and Scarlatti have the same cataloguing letter... (K)... Scarlatti also uses L though, depending on the catalog.
