I played as talim alot.. and sometimes as Ivy. (XBOX version) Never really liked mitsurugi but raphael and yoshimitsu were the bomb.

Always enjoyed the look on peoples face when you do that combo with spawn (gates of hell or something)

They messed up yoshimitus look like hell >.> my fav is still nightmare.

Maxi was good because you could just button bash and his combos look really impressive...man i suck at games...;)

I played the series for the first time at my brother's house on his Xbox, and I thought it was great. I played Soul Calibur II. Yoshimitsu was my favorite, I like the character and his moves are just so awesome to me.

Yes, I have and it has some new features such as different classes and you can even creat your own char.

I personally like Soul Calibur 3 the best. I love my original character. But I kick butt with Nightmare.

tea soul calibur 3 is very nice. Still the original arcade version of soul calibur II was the BEST. Nightmare owned everyone and noone can stop my infinite combo ^_^

Do a speedy soul combo, mixed in with a shield breaker (the one that knocks the opponet in the air), and then a forward launching attack (I definatly didn't take the time to memorize the names of her attacks) and volia~ I pwned you off the arena!

rawr o yea? what if i blocked your little "soul combo" side step sword swing. Then use my *poke of doom*. Once your on the floor my infinite chain combo finishes you ^_^ you lose and no ringout cheepness either.

I was really upset that they took out the team battle in SCIII...I really liked it...and I don't really like most of the p2 characters. I'm reall impressed with Setsuka and Tira, but I think Zasalamel is amazingly dumb...what a big let down!

Just rented SC3. Great-great game. I'm not teh_pwnz on these types of games, but this game is really fun. Good characters, but you can't have your created-character in all modes, just Quick Play and Mission oh well.

But it sucks when you get far, and the CPU gets really frigging cheap and you can't do anything no matter how many blocks or counter's you (try) to do.

I rented for PS2 and it sucks because on GC, they have Link from Zelda (well at least on 2). But my favorite character other than my created character, is The Guy with the staff-forgot his name atm. KALIM, ok there. Yea he actually has combos and does do like 2 hits in a each attack (like Nightmare and Sigfried etc.)

I was saddened by the Create a Character Mode

Not as much as I don't like the game. I just don't appreciate the Custom Character mode. It was a big hype for me and it just didn't live up to my expectations. The characters were never as graphicly rich as the other characters. Still, I love the Siegfried character. O what a big sword

Talim can pawnz you all, so there! Did anyone notice that most of the guys are big and slow, but deal out monstorous (sp?) damage, while most of the girls are quick, but do diddly-squat until they combo? Just a passing notice.

i just bought the soul calibur 3 soundtrack off ebay, it's well good

well i dont own this game but ive played it before.... i dont know the names of the chars tho... this one girl with a swingy thing was good and so was the samurai dude.... i only seen those 2 and maybe a few others...

I happen to love Soul Calibur. I am stuck on Chronicle 19 in the third one, and my main character is level 51 Samurai. I cant even beat the first person. Not to mention the option to challenge the talented fighter that is level 99. O_x
