Hey everyone, I just got back from my Piano Competition, AKA the WSMA. In which I waited to play for about two hours. I wasn't really nervous, but time went so slow-which I wanted to play so badly. Oh yea, I 'am playing Fur Elise.

Anyway, I then played for the one judge, with about 5 other spectators in the room. I played on an electric piano (a good one, around $2,500) and didn't mess up nocicably.

The judge must have loved it. He said, "...that playing of Fur Elise was almost flawless..." [At this point I was weak and shakey in the knees] Then he pointed out to me my mistakes. He just said in two parts that I rushed a hair or so, I was still happy though-I felt good about it nonetheless.

In the end, I reecived a "1" or also known as GOLD! So I was estactic, and will get my grading sheet this monday!

CONGRATULATIONS! That's a start... considering you only played for one year.

So, I'm guessing this isn't really a competition since you didn't go against other pianists? No? Oh well, all good. =)

Oh, and do you have a recorder? I want to hear your flawless performance. =D

Good job. In April I'm doing something like what you did, it's called a music festival. I'm pretty sure we have the same rating scale as you guys [1 being the best]. I'm doing a violin solo. I can't wait to be rated, =D

Thanks :) Luckily I never really get nervous about performing, I get excited. :-p So I think I'll do fine.

Too bad I have to wait till April though. :(
