I cried watching Love Hina, and the Episode of Excel Saga that takes place after Excel was shot, and she loses her memory.

I had forgotten about that thread, it is close, but this isn't just about sad moments, it's about telling everyone all about the Anime that have made you cry. Something can be sad but that doesn't mean it makes you cry.

Millenium Actress-I was bawling at the end of it...has anyone seen that one?

mahoromatic got me bawling, i onno bout anyone else but spirited away was pretty touching for me (<_<, >_> no flaming me for that please), love hina meh some parts were sad but nothing really as heart-breaking as the ending to mahoromatic

Fruits Basket got me crying. And a couple parts here and there during Full Metal Alchemist.

Air had me very teary-eyed.

Mai Hime and Air, omg they were so sad. N i thought i couldn't cry at fictional stories. :cry:

i wanted to cry in chobits once, and actually in the kenshin manga at the part where (LATE IN MANGA) kaoru "dies" or is seemingly dead and it resembles to the incident with tomoe i do have felt really sad in other animes, but... this one saw too darn many to recall evelry incident...

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya made me cry -- from laughter. :mellow:

Actually, Shakugan no Shana made my eyes a little watery at parts.

To be honest, i think i cried lots of times watching animes. I really don't know why but, an episode of Saber Marionette J to X really touched me.

One of the girls found a baby and at the end, while the baby cried she embraced and... dunno, i just felt the tears dripping.

I cried watching Saikano TV and Monster. With Monster, the series made me care about someone then have them get killed. For Saikano TV...

well, Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien didn't make me cry, but it got me deeply moved, but after a few days when i think of it, i couldn't understand how the heck i could get so deeply moved. Just can't understand why love should be that important, i mean there are other things in life which is worth struggling for...but what do i know...am still inexperienced when it comes to "love"

there were a lot of flashbacks showing the friendship shikamaru and chogi had.
I could kinda relate to chogi a a kid.
it was a pretty touching scene when he saw the mark shikamaru and the others made pointing him the direction he should go.

I havent really "cried" in one but idid tear up on an episode of Fullmetal Alchemist but thats because i was a little angery at what was happening too:think:

Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal. The only anime that has ever made me cry.

Naruto makes me cry a lot. When Sadness and Sorrow or Hokage's Funeral plays. They're just sad.

ya i cried when i was watching an Episold of NEon Genesis.

the anime chrno crusade has a really sad ending and the movie spirited away

aw people got mine already. the only real tear jerkers were chrno crusade, full moon wo sagashite, hantsuki(hanbun no tsuki), samurai x: trust and betrayal, and spirited away. anything else was just depressing or just made me be in a kind of dazed mood all day. another good one would be tsukihime, but that wasn't really a tear jerker.

Since then, I've taken a blind eye to this thread.

I think Naruto is a pretty sad show the first time you watch it through because

all of the characters' pasts are so sad like how Gaara was shunned upon by his whole village

eah Inuyasha is pretty saddenning at times. I just watched Ranma 1/2 and an episode made me feel sad because of the sweetest thing I've seen in anime for a while.

It's the episode where Shampoo is crying when she finds out that Ranma is the girl she's been hunting forever. It's just really sweet how she cries instead of hits him.

Well I don't really cry from anime but I do get a cold feeling, goosebumps, and a lump in my throat during those sad parts in Love Hina when they play a sad song to go with it. Also Ah! My Goddess gave me that same feeling in some episodes :heh:

I haven't seen Love Hina or Ah MY Goddess before so I don't know if they're sad or not. Yeah i get that feeling alot too. It's sorta like you are anticipating something sad to happen and that you're ready for it.

It would be the ending of Cowboy Bebop. My little brother and I was almost at tears because after everything Spike went through, especially what happened in the path to the final confrontation,
we thought he was going to live and having one of your favorite characters killed can be emotional.

Deathnote, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles and Shugo Chara. Although Shugo Chara was more about my hate for the step father. Deathnote was more a kind of dissapointment. Everyone knew it was going to happen in the end but it still made me cry.

Eh, I've only somewhat felt emotional two times before;
...One was this week's episode of Angel Beats when they were passing out the donor tickets; it just felt so... sad, yet happy at the same time :/
Another time was reading the manga for One Piece, and for some reason at the end of the Sky Island arc I just felt really... weird. Even though they had won, or maybe because they had won :/

That was a good anime. A bit odd in artstyle, but excellent plot. Another one that's similar to it is Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu, though there's a bit less attachment to the characters.

If its anime, I remember its a movie (same producer as Princess Monoke) but it has the word Fireflies in the title but I forgot the full title.

The only anime that I have cried for is Pretear because I thought the main character had died (my sister tricked me into it because she had already watched it and said she died.). I'm pretty sure that's the only time. It's kinda hard to make me cry when it comes to shows and movies.

Well,I haven't come across an Anime that made me cry.But i remember a long time ago when i was like 11,i watched this one Anime.Where this Robot kid wanted to become human.It was super sad..

Blatantly stating plot sensitive material without written alert or use of spoiler tags. While you may have seen the ending, there are several others that have not, and if I left your post alone, a lot of people would have known what was coming, ergo spoiling the story for them.


Oh, and in regards to your previous edits that you have removed, I have watched Clannad. I also worked a bit on the Visual Novel translation project up at Baka-Tsuki, so I do know what it's about and how much of an emotional rollercoaster it is.

I thought L's death was a neccesary evil. He was a likable character, but his death and Near's subsequent appearence and their respective heavily contrasting methods of combating Light added a lot of depth to the story. Whereas Light was the 'villain' in the first half of the series, Near took over in the second half and made Light seem even sympathizable (especially with his victory speech in the last episode where he completely denies Light's ideal of justice).

L's death reinforced the 'justice is subjective' theme.

Then again, I think if you didn't at least see some merit in Light's methodology, then all of this would be inconsequential.

I've only cried in three movies ever in my whole life, but when i saw Princess Mononoke, I cried like a baby at the end!! it was soo sad T.T

Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom didn't really make me shed lots of tears, but made me pretty emotional in the end.

Clannad After Story, definitely, and the ending of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! made me cry.

I think its NAna!! I love Nana x Ren and Hachiko x Takumi. Such a sad story! In the end, in manga, Ren dies!!!!!

I've heard really good things about Clannad and Code Geass, although I've only really cried during Fruits Basket and Air. Many people say Grave of the Fireflies is extremely sad, though I didn't think it was too bad :3

End of Episode 24 and start of Episode 25 for Gundam 00 Season 1. Haro: 'Lockon Lockon. Lockon Lockon.' I'm close to tears just thinking about it and typing it. Love the music that is playing when Neil is making his speech. :cry::cry::cry::cry: Haven't watched a lot of anime yet. I started Inyushia (sp) but I found out how it ended so I gave up. That also got me upset because I literately just started to catch it on Adult Swim a few weeks before I found out by accident what happens.

Cross Game.

The Anime that made me cry is Yuki no Joou (The Snow Queen).
It is based on an Andersen fairy-tale, so the plot is very good. And this anime's music is really out of this world, too.
I cried when I watched episode 19 - The Little Match Girl (it is not a new story, but they re-made it so well that even a boy like me couldn't help it)
