I feel it has an intresting aspect to it, but I see no end to the series and no plot line. Just the series; reminds me of the american cartoons I used to watch...... nastalgia.....

Yeah, it's a pretty good show. It's one of those shows that you don't have to keep up with. You can jump in at almost anytime ad still be able to enjoy it.

I like the show too. Kinda reminds me of those "Encyclopedia Brown" books I used to read and got all excited about when it reached the conclusion -.-"

I'm a big fan of Detective Conan ~ !!! I collect the mangas but I seldom watch the anime (though it's broadcasting at my place here) since the time it was broadcasted I wasn't free to watch! However, I collected a few movies to watch. Love it very much ~ !!! My favourite detective is Kudo Shinichi which is also known as Jimmy in Case Closed. What about you guys?

Its good, I like it. It can be somewhat childish sometimes, but its at leats not as bad as Scooby Doo, where as in SD you really can't figure out the guy or what happened, where as DC allows you more thinking and guessing. Was there a series before DC on tv? As in, is DC pretty much where Conan is turned into a kid the whole time, or is there a beggining where he was originally in his regular form, and then in the series he changed to a kid. Or is there even a seperate anime for when he was an adult?

And what is the opening theme song called?

There's no other series before DC. It's one of the project or work by Gosho Aoyama sensei. Shinichi @ Jimmy @ Conan appears altogether in the same anime, as in there are no separate anime for Conan and Shinichi.

Originally, Shinichi is a young detective boy who is very famous in Tokyo. However, when he was 'sniffing' on a syndicate, he was discovered by one of the member. He hit Shinichi and while he's semiconscious, he forced him to swallow a non-tested drug, making him the test sample. The drug is APTX48 (not sure of the code anymore) which is supposed to kill him instantly. The syndicate left and didn't realized he had turned into a kid. To avoid the syndicate found his true identity and the real function of the drugs, he disguised as Edogawa Conan to continue his investigation.
