Yay! First post! Ahem, anyway, I've only been into composing for about three years and these are the first pieces that I've deemed good enough to share. Sorry if they make your ears bleed...:(
Note: All files are MIDIs because I'm on dial-up and don't have Finale NotePad. And I can't play an instrument to save my life! These are all piano solos except for the untitled one because I just can't orchestrate and make it sound good enough for my liking.

untitled theme- Just playing around, and then I got this. Not bad for goofing off!
Battle-Intended as battle theme, but a bit too slow and happy. I've never been good at battle themes. Unfinished.

That's because they're very early drafts of ideas, and are completely subject to change and reworking.

Hmm, not too bad. Don't feel bad about not being any good at instruments, I'm not that good either (though I only started a few months ago); I hear even Wagner was not particularly good on any instrument. Besides the shortness, it sounds somewhat random in places. Generally, it is a good idea to structure music on phrases and reuse and develop material from earlier in the piece. Of course, I'm no expert, myself, but I did read Schoenberg's Fundamentals of Musical Composition, which goes into a great deal of detail on phrases.
